Owen left out of England Squad.

Poor decision again by Mr Capello. Owen has proved time and time again that he is the best goalscorer we have got. Also, Ashley Young has been amazing this season, why is he not in?

Why would anyone want to be England manager.

Because of the ridiculous amount of money they get for being the manager.

And to the point Sparks made about Jason Leonard, Rugby players will fight, bleed etc for their Country in Rugby something we wont see. Rugby players play for pride something we dont see from the footballers.

Team I want to see.

James

Brown Terry Ferdinand Cole

Wright-Phillips Gerrard Lampard Walcott

Rooney Heskey

I'd love to see that against Kazakhstan, we could really carve them open on Wembley's large pitch down the wings.

Is there even a chance of Barry playing on the left at all? This would allow Gerrard to move into the centre alongside Lampard. I'd rather have Barry than Downing on the left hand side, at least we know he can deliver a ball.

I can't believe Owen hasn't been selected for the squad. He could be the perfect impact sub. He's been scoring in an awful Newcastle side and has always done it for England.

Beckham, Jenas and Downing in the squad? Farce.

The Sun is saying that Gerrard and Lamps will play together in a full pace training game today and if they look alright playing together then they will start in the centre of midfield together.

I know it is only The Sun but I hope there is some truth in it.

Owen should be in the squad, there's no doubt about that, even playing vrap, he's better than Defoe and Crouch.

I can guarantee you though, if Owen was in the same vein of form (i.e a poor one), but playing for Liverpool or Man Utd, he'd be in the squad.
