Nationwider Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Allen Stanford is a genius. Make the grass too long, the pitch too lifeless and the floodlights too dim so the players are fumbling around for the ball all the time. The when they're not looking, have some fun with their wives. And put it on a big screen for the punters to watch. That's entertainment. Brings a new meaning to the phrase "caught behind", doesn't it, Mrs Matt Prior? Sepp Blatter - pay attention. This is how you run a sexy tournament!
Milky Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Watching it live i thought they were just some randoms. Prior is batting above his average by the way! That pitch is shit for 20/20. Over 120 is a good score!
The People's Hero Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 What's happened with Matty Prior's missus then? I heard she's a bit of a catch, so it's no surprise he's let her go.
Nationwider Posted 28 October 2008 Author Posted 28 October 2008 Watching it live i thought they were just some randoms. Mrs P is on his lap. On of the others (possibly the brunette) is Al Cook's other half. What's happened with Matty Prior's missus then?I heard she's a bit of a catch, so it's no surprise he's let her go.
David O'Leary Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Mrs P is on his lap. On of the others (possibly the brunette) is Al Cook's other half. No its the blonde one nearest on the picture

Suffolk_fox Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 I find the whole tournament very tacky. Money has fcuked up Football, now its starting to fcuk cricket...
dandannieldanok Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 I find the whole tournament very tacky. So do I, the cricket isn't of high quality either to compensate because of the crap pitch.
Fosse Boy Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 I think people just need to take it at face value and not take the whole thing too seriously, a feat which has been made easier by the fact that they're playing on practically a village green wicket and they barely seem to give a shit in the warm up games. I don't think this kind of money will ruin cricket in this country, especially after the ECB decided against a City based franchise system for the new Twenty20 league.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Anywhere to watch this online? www.justin.tv should have it on.

Milky Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 The Stanford Superstars have looked the best team this week.
Milky Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008  I've never seen the England lads sledge like this! They're well **** up for it out there!
Fox You Forest Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Are they using technology for everything in this? I see now why the ICC sanctioned it. " Sure if you test a few things out for us "
FleckneyFox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 What a joke we were useless. Im quite glad he Stanford team won, they needed it more.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Stanfords a cock. Uncalled for I reckon. Sure, some of the stuff he says with regards to viewing sport purely as commerce is out of order, but he's undoubtedly revived the West Indian passion for cricket, which is totally admirable in my opinion.
