Thracian Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 why?! i make a 300 mile round trip to every home game which invariably ends in a draw or loss - it's part of football unless you wanna support the top 4. at least they saw 5 goals, even if the team did completely fook up But they didn't see five goals did they. In fact they didn't see much at all. If you consider selling tickets at £20 each in such an unsuitable venue to be acceptable commercial practice then you've got a outlook to me.
Simi Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 Didn't see enough of the game to give a decent enough opinion. Based on the second half display, in my book, a player is lucky to get over a 6.
Benji Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 I couldn't even see who scored our goals i had to wait til they announced it on the tannoy. It really was a joke to be that far from the pitch What?? The scorers were announced on the tannoy? I didn't even hear that! Mummy text me haha
Stuliasz Posted 29 October 2008 Author Posted 29 October 2008 Don't forget to vote at www.player-ratings.com/rate if you went to the game. Results will be posted tomorrow.
clazkel Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 What??The scorers were announced on the tannoy? I didn't even hear that! Mummy text me haha I don't know if the first goal was announced, but i was going to the burger van to get chips when we scored the second and they said Fryatts second goal of the night. My bro was still in his seat tho and he didn't hear it as were were sitting on the right side of the away end
clazkel Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 I thought Steve had scored the second, I was well happy. Then my dreams were shattered. Ahh thats ashame, i was really happy when i found out Fryatt had scored both, but at first i thought Howard had scored the 2nd aswell.
AoWW Posted 29 October 2008 Posted 29 October 2008 Could barely tell there was a football match being played in the distance, let alone who did what. Didn't hear any announcements re. our goals over the tannoy - had to 'text a friend' to find out who'd scored! Credit though to the Brighton fans I encountered to and from the ground - all of whom were sound.
syston_fox Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Credit though to the Brighton fans I encountered to and from the ground - all of whom were sound. The one's I encountered in the town centre afterwards were tossers! Its the first time this season i havent been able to leave a town / city thinking favourably of it!

Pfft, if you'd told me you were going to bed when I text'd you I'd have banned it without question. I was tempted to ring you in the early hours when I was bored on the drive home... that would have gone down well as you'd been tucked up in bed for hours!
lcfc_jme Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Will do these ratings when I get in from football. As has been said, they won't necessarily be the most accurate ratings ever because of the horrific view from the away end at the Withdean. What a shambolic ground. Had my drink spiked last night, so was in no fit state to do any ratings.. Martin - 4 Hobbs - 4 Kisnorbo - 5 The Tunch - 5 Chrissy P - 7 Gradel - 5 Berner - 4 King - 4 G'won Lloyd - 5 Howard - 4 Fryatt - 6
