He thought changing the "Football" in York's name to "Soccer" would suddenly make them appeal to American fans, failing to realise that not only were York a Division 3 team (at the time) and no one in America's heard of Division 3 but that he'd alienate the 3000 fans that turned up week in week out. Not only is he a tool, he's a shit business man too.

Actually if Chester are really on the brink of collapse, having this idiot come in for a few years and show us not what to do with a football club might be a stay of execution just long enough to get through the current downturn. Then a good opportunity for a local who cares to stump up some cash, change the name back and restore the club in a blaze of glory.

If you would support LEICESTER even though they changed their name to attract other people from outside, just so we could go up the leauges, your a moron. I'd rather see us in the Midland Alliance than see us change our name to Harchester. At the end of the day, more and more players are becoming more concerned about getting their pay-check than how well they play. As I've said, football is a business nowadays. I am not saying that it is right to change Chester to Harchester but if he owns the club then he can do what he wants with it. Of course it's not right but I will say it again, everything is money, money and more money now and do you really think John Top-gear will give a shit about the Chester fans as long as he is making money? The answer is no. Surely, the current owner will have to sell the club to him first which if he has Chester at heart he will not do.

If the FA really cared about football, they'd stop pricks like him getting anywhere near clubs.
