Matt Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 Bullard told he can goFulham ready to sell midfielder in January. Sky Sports News sources understand Jimmy Bullard has been told he can leave Fulham in the January transfer window. Despite having shown arguably the best form of his career at Craven Cottage it appears Bullard's future lies away from West London. The former Wigan favourite has this season voiced a desire to engage in contract renewal talks with Fulham, but Roy Hodgson met his request by urging patience. Earlier this month player and club did sit down for discussions but it would appear an accord has failed to be struck, with Bullard's existing deal having a year-and-a-half left to run. Hodgson has conceded a big money offer could prove difficult for Fulham to ignore and it now looks as though the club are resigned to losing one of their prized assets. A number of high-profile top-flight clubs have been linked with an approach for a player who has broken into Fabio Capello's squad of late. Sky Sports News understands no verbal or written contract offer was ever put to Bullard.
The Stig Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 That's absolute madness. Surely he's good enough to stay in that side?
JakeShingler Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 Hes to good for Fulham anyway Pure madness.
Alexikokopops Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 That's absolute madness. Surely he's good enough to stay in that side? He is. It says they're resigned to losing one of their prized assets to a bigger club.
Matt Posted 19 December 2008 Author Posted 19 December 2008 That's absolute madness. Surely he's good enough to stay in that side? I think its more to do with Bullard wants to much money, and Fulham are cutting their nose to of to spite their face by saying 'We're not going to held to ransom', even though Bullard is so good.

I cant see him going to one of the big four. Maybe Villa or Spurs...or even Man City? Wont be going Everton, they spent out in the some on midfielders and need a striker
Fosse Boy Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 I'm gonna place an outside bet on Joe Kinnear taking him up to Tyneside.
Maybes Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 I'm gonna place an outside bet on Joe Kinnear taking him up to Tyneside. Not a bad shout. Although unless Newcastle are taken over by the end of January its highly doubtful, cant see money being made available!
Maybes Posted 20 December 2008 Posted 20 December 2008 Everton? Newcastle? Wont be going Everton mate. They spent out on midfielders in the summer, plus they need to get a striker in badly.
