Second String Squad Named

Matt HeathThe Foxes will field a team including Jason Wilcox and Matt Heath (pictured right) for the reserves' match against Watford, just 24 hours after the Championship clash with Cardiff City.

None of the players named for Tuesday night's clash at the Walkers Stadium have been selected, with the bulk of the squad made up of the Academy under 18s side who racked up a 6-1 win over West Ham at the weekend.

The match kicks off 7pm tonight (Wednesday) at Marston's Stadium, the new home of Hinckley United.

CITY: Conrad Logan, Jason Wilcox, Scot Gemmill, Chris O'Grady, Stephen Dawson, Matt Heath, Tommy Wright, Scott Lycett, Levi Porter, Adam Wykes, Louis Dodds, Liam Norval, Ricky Muggleton, James Graham, Stephan Morley, Peter Akman.

It'll be much better if Wright is put up front and we play with Porter and Wilcox as wingers, instead of playing Tommy out on the wing all game  Should happen tonight with Moore not involved.

Where's Canero gone again? Not even good enough for the reserves, you're having a larf Levein.

I went last night, it was much more enjoyable than the first team the night before.

I overheard someone saying last night that Wesolowski (who wasn't playing last night due to injury again I think) has started training with the first team, which is good news. Stearman, Wright, O'Grady, Sheehan and Dawson are the only other youngsters that have been doing this regularly this season. Perhaps CL thinks it's time to unleash the Ozzie beast.

Anyway back to the performans, Tommy Wright is a dead man walking. He had so many chances last night and couldn't score for shit, he's down on confidence and doesn't look like he cares. He needs some goals and a loan spell to save him here. O'Grady looks better than when I last saw him, he showed glimpses of being able to play professional football but you can never tell until they are thrown in. Dawson was solid as always, how he doesn't make the bench anymore is beyond me. He overshadowed Gemmill almost to the point where it was laughable. I was really looking forward to watching Porter after his display last saturday against West Ham and he played pretty well. He has so much skill and panache it's unbelievable, he's the next Shaun Wright-Phillips I swear!! :D

Dodds took his goal well, he's a natural finisher and I hope he keeps banging on Levein's door because he looks better than Wright, O'Grady and a few other strikers we have on the fringes of our first team. Pleasing to see James Graham get a run out aswell, he looked quite dangerous playing alongside Dodds. Our two prolific youth team level strikers.

Dawson man of the match again though for me, just doesn't put a foot wrong. Shame we can't say that about of current first team defensive midfielder! Next week is Arsenal at home, can't wait for that. Let's hope Weso is back alongside Dawson and Porter in the midfield to rip them apart. I might kidnap Lupoli and Quincy Owusu Abeyie and make them sign for Citeh.

Wesolowski has hardly featured for the Reserve team at all this season, i blame Gemmill.

I agree about Dodds, it wasn't right last week when he never even came on as a sub despite the 3 other forwards doing absolutely nothing all game. He won't get a chance this season thouigh..

Even though Levein said he wants to introduce younger players when we're safe, well we're safe now, every team below us has to win 2 out of their last 3 games, not happening. Dawson on the bench against Sunderland? Dawson and Hughes in the middle? As good as it sounds i can't see it happening
