SilverFox Posted 22 April 2005 Posted 22 April 2005 I'm tired of coming onto this forum and reading endless drivel. Who ruined our club? Who was the worst manager? Why levein should be sacked! Why the Sun shines out of ever former managers bottom! You people talk a hell of a lot of nonsense for fans who are allegedly so well informed. We are going through a rough patch at the moment, but as my mother always told me, 'if you want a rainbow you have to put up with a hell of a lot of rain'. Stop moaning about the club and support in times of adversity. I am certain in my heart and mind that next year you will see massive improvements, and I have it on authority from a friend who is high up at the club that Levein has already lined up many potential targets for next season. I have also spoken with one of Leveins scouts who is husband to a work colleague...things will get better and this club is going to look a lot different! We will again be up there challenging...I honestly believe that! For now we have to sit tight and be patient! Levein is a very good manager who has been left with below average players and a very tricky situation to build on. Give him the time and you will not be dissapointed! I promise you that!!!! Martin O'Neill recommended this man, Hearts fans lamented his loss, and many who aren't blinded by their hatred that he left them in the first place, attest to his team building ability...GIVE HIM TIME! MA has gone! O'Neill has gone! Lets get on with the future now, and leave the past where it belongs...behind us! If there is one thing I can say that Chandler has got right, its that a lot of you just refuse to give anyone time to do their job! If you change your manager every time you come across a fork in the road you won't get anywhere!

Louise Posted 22 April 2005 Posted 22 April 2005 Our season is basically over, we have nothing to play for...people are just trying to find things to talk about. Everyone* wants to give Levein time, but because we have nothing to play for everything that happens is being overanalysed, its the same as in the summer. I just want this season over now so that Levein can get his plans into motion rather than having to defend himself over and over again for the actions of players he didn’t bring in and probably doesn’t want here. *Apart from Chandler and FNQ who are just bitter and twisted individuals.

We knew little about him when he came, and as Louise points out, we're overanalyzing a bit. But to go as far as to say we want him out, is a bit over the top, don't you think? Chandler has been very busy lately, spouting off pro-Micky-anti-Levein propaganda, with no-brainers like FNQ and MON spouting braindead stuff out at the same time, but really, I think it's very gross generalisation you're doing there, SilverFox.. <_< We are in a slump, like it or not, and polls about who ruined this club or who was the worst ever manager just reflect peoples dissapointment. It's a very small minority on here that actually take it out on Levein personally. That shouldn't mean that he should be immune to criticism though, but come on, I think you wrote this post a bit too early

I then, to ensure that you appreciated I'm not taken in or offended by your obvious wind ups had a little self deprecating dig at myself all in the interests of fair play and 'common sense' But I guess it misfired and was a waste of my time and perhaps in hindsight everyone else's
step Posted 23 April 2005 Posted 23 April 2005 Well said Silverfox, I am glad to see we have another supporter on board. You are right; we are going totally OTT in the discussions about CL. But this constant barrage of attacks on our club is totally unjustified and the very devious and manipulative manner in which they are done makes them very dangerous. As you know from the Filbert street forum, this battle with chandler has gone on for a long time and some of us are only now started to see through his methods, which he uses to try and win people over. 1. Chandler, will never discus a point to a conclusion, 2. He will never answer a question which would prove he is wrong 3. He quotes irrelevancies and deliberately confuses the boundaries of the topics being discussed. 4. He quotes facts that contradict his argument, as if they confirm his point. 5. He will lie and twist facts to suit his argument. 6. He will resort to name calling and threats of violence for anyone that does not agree with him. 7. He is a bully, with a psychiatric problem. If you read any of the threads that he has been involved in you will see that the analysis of chandlers character (points 1 – 7 above) is very true and as the methods he uses are not immediately obvious he could be draw the unsuspecting person into that mindset and then this obsession of his could start to gain momentum. So far, He has not succeeded to win anyone over, but I am sure that is because there are people here that see through him, stand up to him and though we would rather he was being dealt with by a team of psychiatrists and some electro therapy. I am afraid that when he attacks city, we have no choice, but to react and make sure that his attempts to recruit fails.
Chimp Posted 23 April 2005 Posted 23 April 2005 Chandler's just a troll - fun to poke with a pointed stick on occassion but ultimately boring and predictable. Actually, he's not even a very good troll, he's much too obvious in his methods, hence, it's too easy to slip off his hook and ignore his bait from thereon. He'd like to think himself a master wind-up merchant, but he fails at this as he lacks finesse. Consequently, he come's across as nothing more than a sad attention whore. As we all must know, these type of personalities are best left ignored...
Chimp Posted 23 April 2005 Posted 23 April 2005 [meanwhile, back on topic ] I've not been a member of these forums for too long but I have noticed a decline into a more negative atmosphere over the past couple of weeks. I guess this is only to be expected toward the end of a tumultuous and disappointing season. The meassge from many seems to be 'give Levein time', a message that I share wholeheartedly. It's just too early to judge anything right now. I only hope that the 'time' that most people are willing to give is more than 10 or so games into the season. The point at which we should judge CL's performance is at the end of next season.
