Academy 4 - 3 Bristol City

Recommended Posts

From Os

Leicester City's under 18 side posted a 4-3 victory at Bristol City on Friday afternoon.

The Foxes went into the game on the back of impressive home victories over Charlton Athletic and top-of-the-table Aston Villa.

And the youngsters made it three wins in a row in what were difficult conditions in the West Country.

Billy Kee (2), Ade Yussuf and Nathan Hicks grabbed the goals on the day.

Academy manager Jon Rudkin said: "It was incredibly windy and the conditions certainly didn't lend themselves to good football.

"Both teams struggled in all fairness, although I thought that we were good value for our victory in the end.

"Bristol had taken a two goal lead into the break, but we had the wind behind us in the second half and got back into it.

"Overall it was good result for us in what were very difficult conditions."

City: Ambrusics, O'Neill, Bolger, Parkes, Rowe-Turner, John (E Chambers), Moore (Trialist), Burns (Yussuf), Hicks, C King, Kee.
