Sir Fynwy Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/Late...1570392,00.html Take a look at the FL report at the bottom of the linked page, our agents payments are going down but still higher than the majority of chamionship teams. A nice counterpoint to the season ticket price increases.
JoeyB Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Leeds paid more than us. Finally they are better than us at something
The People's Hero Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Leeds paid more than us.Finally they are better than us at something Two dodgy chairmen. Both paying out lots of money to 'agents'. Makes you wonder.
skinnydipper Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Mandaric is still on bail regarding the City of London police enquiry His answer to the allegations is "Why would I pay an agent 300k to get a 30k bung"

If so then worth every penny. He may be injured now but we are where we are in part thanks to him

IMO agents should only be paid as a last resort, Milan still seems to think they are required

Not really that scandalous? I appreciate that not all players and therefore transactions are conducted with agents but I can see why thay are sometimes an advantage for player & club. As long as we go up I am happy.

I know it's not much per transaction but some clubs (eg. Peterborough 17 transactions, £0 spent) seem able to manage this a bit better, hopefully we'll be more able to get players without paying agents in the future. I'd love to see what Man City have paid agents in the last year
CosbehFox Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 I know it's not much per transaction but some clubs (eg. Peterborough 17 transactions, £0 spent) How many non-league signings did P'boro pick up? Surprised Fry didn't act as agent for all them.
MPH Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 i guess its a tail of two seasons, really. if we are top anmd gunning for promotion its moneyu well spent if bottom and facing relegation its scandalous...
