With a name like Maewyn you'd think so.

No idea about his dad, mind, I know the Irish weren't especially nice to him in early life that's about it.

his dad was a roman and he was taken to ireland when the irish kidnapped him

--- so his name was Patrick Maewyn? surely he should have had his dad's name?

No his name was Maewyn. His first name.

I've no idea where the Padraig (as I presume it was?) bit came from. Irish raiders captured him and took him back to Ireland as a slave so maybe they either gave him a name or he assumed one?

Not a clue, mate.

What are you and your Uni Hippies going to do ? Sit in ? Make some posters and march in town against them ? Typical middle class view. You wanna do a fooking hard days work you soft southern twat.

Also the ST GEORGE chant was a joke, i work with alot of foreigners and they're hard working decent people who can have joke with you.

Now get back to your shandy.

Despite all your wishes it's hardly fucking "Northern" either. lol

We're more north then south. I class myself as a northerner.

lol lol

We could barely possibly be any more central.

Are you really that desperate to look cool and working class? You realise there are working class people in the Midlands, too?

Is it cool to be working class these days ? I thought you had to go to Uni and sponge of your mum and dad while listening to crappy indie bands ?

You notice how all GREAT ROCK AND ROLL BANDS come from the North not south.

I'm a northerner, when we play London teams they chant ... YA DIRTY NORTHERN B**T**DS.

I know, I lived in London for three years and they called me a Northerner. If I'd have followed the ex Mrs Finners to Newcasttle I'd have spent three years being a pansy Southerner. That's the Midlands life.

And it's been cool to be working class all of my lifetime. All those pansy students you love to take stupid shots at all think they're oh-so-working class. The amount of mockneys I lived with in Halls was an embarrasment.

What angers me the most about your attitude isn't really the resentment for posh kids (because I'm with you on that) - it's the fact that what you ACTUALLY resent is education and people bettering themselves. The people that are going to teach your kids (should you ever get lucky enough) will be "pansy students", should they ever get sick their doctors will be "pansy students" and when your babymomma leaves your bum ass for being an ignorant tit and she wants to take all your dollar dollar? That's another "pansy student" right there who's going to get you outta that mess.

There are students who have TO work to get where they are and i respect them. I don't respect students who's mummies and daddies pay for their New car, their student loan and pay their asses through Uni. Then they stick their noses up to people who mums and dads don't pay for everything and HAVE to work for a lving and to support themselves.

I don't hate all students because their people who really have to work to better themselves, so they can earn more money and live a better life. Having to work while going uni becuase they're parents won't pay for them atleast they can turn round at the end and say

I faced it all and I stood tall;

And did it my way.

As hard as it is to avoid the temptation to - I don't really resent people who have a lifestyle easier than mine.

I was one of only two people (out of six) in my house in London who had to work to pay the rent and the only one who had to actually use his student loan to get be afford to not work full time.

The other four were still some of the most brilliant people I've ever met. I never felt patronized or condescended by any of them. Granted I also knew some complete and utter stereotypes that validate every point you have - but there are dickheads in every walk of life.

I like to hope you know that. I'm pretty sure you come out with 99% of the shit you do just to get reactions out of people like me.

Now he definitely says most of what he does to wind people like you up.

Jimbo's one of the most sincerely amusing and well meaning people on here. You just give each other reason enough to loathe one another.

He doesn't like when i speak my opinion on mighty bands like Blur and then got the nerve to turn around and call the most successful band since The Beatles.

Fuck off, convict.

:thumbup::whistle:

I'd never guessed.

Yeah its true.

But anyway we can join forces because we're both British and mock a aussie.

Two Aussie cattle drovers standing in an Outback bar.

One asked, "What are you up to, Mate?"

Ahh, I'm takin' a mob of 6000 from Goondiwindi to Gympie."

"Oh yeah ... and what route are you takin'?"

"Ah, probably the Missus; after all, she stuck by me durin' the drought."

jajajajaja
