Leeds fans that sing racist chants should have been banned long ago, they have been doing it for years and as I understand it you have to be a member of the Leeds supporters club to go to the away games. There is no excuse. It makes Asian people feel like secodn class citizens in our countries footall stadiums. Scum. L1 fans deserve the heavy policing they have got this season next season and all the video camera to boot. 99% of the people in the ground do not go to football to have a competition of who can be the most ignorant and offencive. Those who do, i.e the ones singing the turk chant, have no right to e in a football stadium and should get life band, no questions or rigt ot appeal. Scum. I'm ashamed to be a football fan when there is pathetic behaviour like that.

Shum Posted 2 May 2005 Posted 2 May 2005 A small minority of people (I won't use the term fans) started to sing "We heard you ran from the turks" which resulted in the picture above. Coins bloody everywhere along with bottles and lighters! BUT saying this, the Leeds fans also sang songs about the Man Utd Munich disaster, and also sang racist chants towards Leicester City, Leicester and its population. Also, as I was walking to the game with Teeno, Deathside, Kerry and Esther 3 Leeds fans racially abused a Taxi driver At the end of the day, what the minority of morons sang in L1 was bang out of order BUT the Leeds fans are still a bunch of racist thugs and have proven this over a number of years visiting Leicester, and I don't think they should be allowed an allocation to our ground next season.
Katy Posted 2 May 2005 Posted 2 May 2005 Before I start I will say it was a cracking atmosphere and there was some fantastic banter going on between L1 and the Leeds fans, however the second a 'small' section of L1 started singing 'we heard you ran from the Turks' the atmos turned very bitter indeed. I feel thoroughly ashamed of those 'fans' who started that - a couple of innocent lads got killed, lads with families and it was bang out of order. Surely though, you Leeds 'fans' who sing the Munich song when playing Man Utd would have sympathised after what happened to your lads? Any ounce of compassion I felt though went out the window when a section of your thugs started throwing coins (one of them hit me!) and bottles at us, some poor young girl got hit in the face by something as well, how stupid are you?????? My opinion of the majority of you now is that you are a bunch of narrow minded, racist yobs who can dish out abuse but quite clearly cant take it!
