Ultra Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Well AFC won and are up, FC miss out in the cruelist way. I thought FC would lose and miss out but they drew and the 2 teams below them won I think one of them scoring very late to knock FC out of the play offs. I'm pretty pissed TBH.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Ahh who cares about AFC Wimbledon? Maidenhead United will sneak into the playoffs on the last day with a win and Chelmsford loss if the total difference of the scores is at least four. COME ON MAGPIES!No joke, I seriously want them to get it done! I've actually been to MUFC's York Road; it's the oldest continuously-used football ground in the world. Basingstoke Town is better than Maidenhead I would love to see MK Dons vs Wimbledon, if there is any justice then AFC would win.
ousefox Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I witnessed them first hand about a month ago in the semi-final of the FA Trophy. I'm in the AFC Telford end, unfortunately, Ricky Sappleton was cup-tied Enjoy watching the pitch invasion!! I'm off to Wembley to see the final!
C-man Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Enjoy watching the pitch invasion!! I'm off to Wembley to see the final! It was really odd. I thought it was going to kick off when the York fans came to our end, but then they ended up shaking the Telford fans' hands and clapped their support. Strange really. Good luck to York.
Fosse Boy Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Anyone thinking of heading down to Kettering v Wimbledon on Saturday in lieu of spending the National Defence Budget of a small African nation on going to Ipswich? Very tempted, especially if there's a chance to sneak into the Dons' end.

Yes, either that or Burton's first home game in the Footy League at the Pirelli. Proper old-skool non-league game, could be a very good atmosphere at Rockingapart Road.
BlueSi13 Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 My only problem with the whole AFC love-in is that, tbh, Wimbledon were a shit club to begin with. Haha i've always thought that aswell, still remarkable to see such a rise from a club started from scratch
