Granno Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Might be worth a punt. Would be interesting to see the odds again once the signings, and the teams in the division have been confirmed.
Guest Bilo Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Betfred - 20/1. Won't win the title or be anywhere near it. Would be interested in the odds for us to make the play-offs though, a good outside chance given the performance of Swansea and Bristol City after promotion.
iancognito Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Well I've got to nip into Ladbrokes to pick up my winnings from a tenner at 9/2 in August so I might just use the tenner stake from that back on next year. Back to back championships....? Nah........I'll just burn the tenner.
maddog Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Betfred - 20/1. Thats definitely worth it, we have just as much chance as anyone to win it. Why not I wouldn't have tipped Wolves to walk it this season.

Nah........I'll just burn the tenner. Forever the optimists. If you watch the championship and look at how the promoted teams have performed we should approach the season with a bit of confidence. I agree the team as is would not be near the top end. However, with NP at the helm and with his record of signings so far including the odd loanee we may surprise a few. I think the feel good factor is returning and in the 30 years I have been following the team I believe we are very much on the up. No one in the championship is outstanding and we have the nucleus of a very good side which needs a few QUALITY signings! You never know and it will be interesting to see the level of optimism come the beginning of August!!
dandannieldanok Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Thats definitely worth it, we have just as much chance as anyone to win it.Why not Because all of the clubs coming down from the prem will have much bigger budgets than us and obviously a better squad, never mind the clubs already established in the top-half of the Championship. I'm not trying to be negative, I actually think we'll do a lot better than the last few seasons we had the Championship, but I just cannot see how we'd get anywhere near the title. If anything, 20/1 seems very short imo.
The Livingston Fox Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Had £30 on us to win the league this season at 11/4

Think we were 8/1 or something at the start of last season though, certainly worse odds than 20/1 and we went down Its our first ever season going into the championship with confidence and a winning mentality, i can certainly see a battling top half finish, and waste money betting on other things so may aswell have a pop at us

I will go to the last home game dressed as a woman if we are in a position to win the league this time next season. And my ST is in L1. We're talking fishnets, false eyelashes the lot.
