maddog Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Let me try to spell it out for you one more time....DJ CAMPBELL HAS STATED THAT HE DOES NOT WANT TO PLAY FOR OUR CLUB AGAIN, THEREFORE, REGARDLESS OF HOW GOOD (or not) HE MAY BE, WE DO NOT WANT A PLAYER HERE WHO DOES NOT WANT TO PLAY FOR US. That is not being negative, it's being realistic. I know it may be difficult for you, but PLEASE try to comprehend this for all our sakes. I am also being realistic with my comments about Fryatt and Howard though, and how we MAY find it tough to find decent striker signings for next season.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 blah blah blah DJ Crappell is a spineless shitbag end of.

I agree 100% Some people just wont accept the fact that players need to be changed if we are to progress. It will be hard to find quality strikers for the Championship. We dont have them, and that includes Fryatt. The season before last we could not score goals, and if we dont watch out the same will happen again.

I'd be happy enough to see Howard and Fryatt start the new season together. Change is not as productive as everyone makes out.
flanimal Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 In terms of strikers, I don't care who they go for - but I think pace is more something we need rather than a target man. The hoof up field is too predictable, yeah, sometimes it works, but generally very few teams crumble under it. I think pace is something we lack upfront, and I think with the combination of good passing and a striker who can chase the ball and run on, we will be able to crack The Championship and make the play-offs. As it is, Howard and Fryatt might be too easy to figure out.
