norfolkfox222 Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 No No No No No!!! Surely not!!??!! Can see him been this seasons Carl Cort
General Smuts Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Surely theres better available? If Nige says he's good enough, then i'll back him.
RedHux Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Brizzle City fans I know would drive him to your place, buy him a house in the area and decorate it for him to see the back of him. He's ok at this level, looks a bit lazy at times, bags the odd goal. Really nothing special. I'd be disappointed if he was to return to Forest. I reckon you lot could do better.
Guest Bilo Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Probably bullshit. NP would probably prefer a younger player, and his scouting team certainly hasn't let him down thus far. If there's any striker he'd want to be reunited with from his Southampton days, I imagine Pearson would be more interested in Surman.
Alexikokopops Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 He's a great goalscorer but he can go one of two ways imo:1) He will become the next Bazza or 2) He will be a vital player next year if he was to come and can also be used as a backup targetman. You seem to be getting confused. Those two are the same thing.
MC Prussian Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Stern John's always had a decent scoring record, wherever he's played (one goal every third game). But at 32, he'll soon be past his best. His recent two loan spells with both Derby and Bristol City were both rather disappointing (two goals in 31 appearances).
Hitesh Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 He has decent experience in this league and would be good to have in the squad I think, but if we can get someone a bit younger then it maybe worthwhile pursuing that first!
Cobbo Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Well at least it'll prevent him from scoring against us, which he seems to love doing. Now let's get Ricardo Fuller while we're at it and already we've not conceeded 10 goals Yes I know Fuller will not be playing against us in the league next year...

Exactly what i was thinking when i first saw this! So sign him up! #BARRY BARRY BARRY!#
Mickey O'Neil Posted 1 May 2009 Posted 1 May 2009 We can do much much better than John imho. I hope we overlook him.
The Doctor Posted 1 May 2009 Posted 1 May 2009 He was a alright player a while back but hes past it now. I would leave him wherever he is now.
Rise Against Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 I hope he won't come. We need to get some fresh and young talents, not players who are in the last years of their career.
Koke Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 If it stops the bastard scoring against us, then I'm all for it.
MarkDeVries Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 NO! I cannot stand Stern John, I would rather have Junior Lewis. Maybe not but you see my point.
BoneDog Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I hopw we don't go for him. He would of been welcome in our last season in the Championship, but I can't see the point now.
J.Lisemore Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 NO! I cannot stand Stern John, I would rather have Junior Lewis. Maybe not but you see my point. How much did we pay for this excuse of a footballer?
LeicesterFan10 Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Stern John? He'd add geat experience to the ranks, we should swap him for Fryatt who clearly can't make the step up, how many goals last time around Matty in the champ? yeah thanks, stick to league 1.

The man has scored over 30 goals this season Now he has confidence and fitness on his side i don't see any reason why he can't score a few next season.
