LeicesterFan10 Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 The man has scored over 30 goals this season Now he has confidence and fitness on his side i don't see any reason why he can't score a few next season. A few as in 2 or 3? yeah that's about his limit. need a natural goalscorer, Odajeyi or John fits that bill.
Brainy Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 A few as in 2 or 3? yeah that's about his limit. need a natural goalscorer, Odajeyi or John fits that bill. Or Jamie Mackie
Tilley Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 I'm not a christian sorry. Have you looked in the "New Away Shirt" thread & taken a liking to me? Not usually my thing, you'll have to look elsewhere.
BoneDog Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Fryatt has improved loads this season. He didn't just score goals this time, he used alot of football intelligence on many occasions to create his chances. His skill levels seem to have improved. Anyone who disagrees should take another look at his goals this season and watch the touches and turns in the lead up to the goal. I'm sure he will get 15-20 next season as long as he stays fit.
Salieri Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 NO! I cannot stand Stern John, I would rather have Junior Lewis. Maybe not but you see my point. How much did we pay for this excuse of a footballer? Just looked at his career stats and we were the only club in his whole career who paid a fee for him (£150,000). The rest were loan moves and free transfers!
dandannieldanok Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 A few as in 2 or 3? yeah that's about his limit. need a natural goalscorer, Odajeyi or John fits that bill. Kayode Odejayi a natural goalscorer! 4 goals in 64 appearances for Barnsley pisses all over that theory straight away.
iancognito Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Stern John!?! The only way this story could be more upsetting is if Rupert Lowe was coming with him as a financial advsor to the club. There are dozens of strikers out there we could get and Stern John wouldn't be in my top 50.
maddog Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Stern John, Matty Fryatt, Steve Howard, Paul Dickov. I bet the Championship sides are shitting themselves
Salieri Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Stern John, Matty Fryatt, Steve Howard, Paul Dickov.I bet the Championship sides are shitting themselves You really are a tool. We haven't signed Stern John and Dickov will barely get a sniff like this season. Howard and Fryatt fully deserve a crack at scoring goals in the Championship after their performances this season. And don't trawl up stats from the season we went down ( ) We will be adding at least one more striker, someone hopefully like Cox who looks a great prospect and is worth a gamble. You've spent much of the season slating Howard and Fryatt and talking up fookin DJ Campbell so your judgement is flawed at best. You are one of these "fans" who desperately tries to find a negative angle amongst all the positivity and frankly, it's pathetic.

You are one of these "fans" who desperately tries to find a negative angle amongst all the positivity and frankly, it's pathetic. No i'm not, i've been positive on a lot of things this season. The Fryatt stat 11 goals in 81 games if from 2 and a bit seasons, not just the one we went down in, he barely scored when we survived. Howard isn't getting any younger, i can't see him doing anywhere near what he did this season, next season. How is talking up one of our players being negative, who has the 4th best goal to game ratio this season in the Championship, and who actually has pace unlike anyone else we have, if anything i'm being really positive, it's everyone whos saying he's not coming back here we don't want him blah blah who are being negative. You 'hoping' we get Cox, we might not get him. We won't be getting anyone who as scored as many goals in 20 games as Dj in the Championship. Any of the League One brigade could be flawed in the Championship. I'm not being negative, just pointing out the facts. With little negative opinion involved Fryatt and Howard do deserve a crack, but i don't think it's a coincedence Fryatt bagged loads in League one with Walsall, then 11 in 81 games with us, then bagged loads in League one with us, i think theres a clear message there. Clearly no one can forgive Dj Campbell, which is farsical. Just forget what he said and focus on almost a goal every 2 games in the Championship, at a struggling side who finished 16th. Yes 3 of them were penalties which many seem to be pointing out, another negative from everyone else, i'm the one being positive here
Brainy Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Stern John, Matty Fryatt, Steve Howard, Paul Dickov.I bet the Championship sides are shitting themselves Yep. I heard we aren't gonna sign any more strikers aswell
maddog Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Yep. I heard we aren't gonna sign any more strikers aswell I've never actually said we aren't going to sign any more strikers. Thats just been picked out from somewhere. I'm the one being positive with talking up Dj, and realistic on Fryatt/Howard and any new signings we could get. To get goals in the Championship you need a striker with speed and pace. Fryatt, Howard don't have that, Dj does. This is fooking stupid, we have a player with 9 goals in 20 games and everyone wants him gone When we could easily waste millions on other useless players in the Championship, if Fryatt and Howard deserve a championship chance after this season, surely Dj deserves one for fook sake. Dj has never had a chance at Leicester, Fryatt had 81 appearences with only 11 goals and still had a chance this season, Dj has 9 goals in 20 at Blackpool so should obviously get a chance next season. Fryatt and Howard were fooking useless in that League, Fryatt may be much better, but Howard is even older now so will struggle even more than he did last season.

flanimal Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Forget Howard and Fryatt. We could play DJ Campbell and Levi Psssh. That would be a fearsome duo.
maddog Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 How is that not being negative? How is saying get rid of Dj we don't want him not being negative
Salieri Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 How is saying get rid of Dj we don't want him not being negative Let me try to spell it out for you one more time.... DJ CAMPBELL HAS STATED THAT HE DOES NOT WANT TO PLAY FOR OUR CLUB AGAIN, THEREFORE, REGARDLESS OF HOW GOOD (or not) HE MAY BE, WE DO NOT WANT A PLAYER HERE WHO DOES NOT WANT TO PLAY FOR US. That is not being negative, it's being realistic. I know it may be difficult for you, but PLEASE try to comprehend this for all our sakes.

Has he said sorry? has he asked us to forgive him? he doesnt want to play for us... how much more clearly can it be said?
Vardinhio Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 May I add, Maddog, you seem to forget that behind every stat there is a real person and a story. Clearly, for whatever reason, DJ Campbell did not fit the bill at Leicester. Why do you think all of a sudden he'd come back and start scoring? Your argument is flawed. Just because someone has a season of scoring it doesn't necesarily follow that they will come back and do the same. Steve Howard scored bag fulls for Derby just a season before we went down with him leading the line for half the season....players play differently in different teams
Koke Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Maddog You are what we call fanboys. You are a DJ fucking Campbell fanboy. I could understand if he was a young lad who needs nurturing, but he is 27 years old. A 27 year old bloke whos footballing abilities are equivalent to John Barber's commentating skills - non-existent. And by the way, in case no one told you yet, DJ does not want to play for us again. That's what he said.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 I'd love to have Stern John in my team. I really feel sorry for you then. God help us.
