Tomassi Posted 11 May 2009 Author Posted 11 May 2009 Have been in touch with Peter Jones at Leicester regarding whether they can give us any kit or whatever, looks very unlikely, but weve formed links with the club so little things like our score with the opposition fans will be announced on the tannoy at half time may appear in future Regarding the kit, Looks like we could be getting a short sleeve Lonsdale kit to get us started

Maybe one day we'll have a page in the program
Darkzzz_ Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Or even some of the City players will come and watch us for a change....
Bert Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Or maybe we might be able to get a game at the ground one time.
lcfc_jme Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Would be interested if wanted as and when needed seeing as I've represented the IF a few times myself, though couldn't commit to every week because of finances and travel costs, etc. Hmmmm.
Tomassi Posted 13 May 2009 Author Posted 13 May 2009 Can you all please check your PM's and get back to me ASAP, ta
Maybes Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 From what Tom has told me the IFA got in contact with the old Internet Foxes manager to confirm that we were taking over as the Leicester Supporters team. Now he wants to continue the Internet Foxes or something along them lines with a few of our players. Quite annoying really.

Tom comes in with a brilliant plan that would've worked smoothly and this guy suddenly wants to start back again. I say we play them for the right to represent Leicester. If not, i'm all for joining Internet Foxes

He wasnt the current manager he used to do it.
Tomassi Posted 13 May 2009 Author Posted 13 May 2009 I know its unfortunate, but Phil set up Internet Foxes in the first place, and had i known of his plans two weeks ago it would have been an advert asking for players to play for Internet Foxes, which it has now become. Ive had a positive responce on the PMs. The Foxestalk will still have a positive influence on the Internet Foxes if the players want to...
Thracian Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Just to let everyone know that I have decided to step aside to enable Phil to continue managing the team. Although Phil kindly volunteered to act as my assistant it is clear that he already knows many of the likely players personally and has considerable experience of managing such a team which can only be good. I only volunteered for the job because someone was kind enough to propose me and because Tom seemed to need some assistance. But with that no longer being the case then I am more than happy to avoid what is a considerable responsibility and to simply enjoy the chance to be a supporter as and when the chance arises. It goes without saying that I hope the venture is an unqualified success and that you all have a successful and enjoyable season.

This website offers a superb base for a amateur team in terms of arrangement and potential sponsors. I wrestled with the idea of starting a Sunday side this season as Foxestalk and seeing what sort of responce we got , its maybe something ill look at again come the end of next season. All the best to the IF

Bert Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Not sure if I can be bothered with the IF. Same - seems so un-organised compared to how Tom was going to do things, and that's after only having played one game for them.
Tomassi Posted 14 May 2009 Author Posted 14 May 2009 To be honest, now that the old manager is back, the good times should be coming back too. it was very well ran when Phil was in charge and playing for them was a very enjoyable experience. The above comments should not discourage those who still want to play for Internet Foxes, like Cat_burger and Cobbo said they really enjoyed it (Phil was manager when these boys played). Its unfortunate that Foxestalk FC is a no-goer for now, but the Internet Foxes and the players from this forum will still benefit from this move. I will be involved in helping run the team so i can assure you guys the organisation will be a lot better than under previous management.
General Smuts Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 This may seriously cut into my carpet jizzing time.
