Fox You Forest Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Me too, I expect them to turn the West Indies over easily on some proper wickets. Anderson will rip them apart. Looking forward to seeing Onions too.
welck12 Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 I have the day off tomorrow so a day off sitting on the sofa, drinking, watching cricket will do me nicely (rain permitting of course)
Ultra Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 I don't think that the Windies will be as resilient as they were on their own turf. Even without Flintoff, England should come out on top in this series.
Brainy Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 We haven't won the first test match in a serious for four years, so i've read.
Hitesh Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Damn Sky/Revision! Won't be able to watch this.... Unless I stream online that is...
Brainy Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Agree with FYF Looking forward to watching Anderson (hero) Is Gayle available for the Windies?
Fosse Boy Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 This should provide some light relief before we get thoroughly pounded in The Ashes.
Milky Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Circus is in town. Just the six dropped catches so far We've had white men can't jump, so how about black men can't catch! Wish i had Bopara's luck
dandannieldanok Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 I haven't seen any of today's play but by the sounds of it England have been extremely lucky with the Windies awful fielding. Bar Bopara, it appears as though it was another lame performance with the bat.
Salieri Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 This should provide some light relief before we get thoroughly pounded in The Ashes. I'll be lumping on the Aussies to win the series to nil.
Ultra Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 I'll be lumping on the Aussies to win the series to nil. Especially, as seems likely, Bopara has now booked the No. 3 slot for the summer..
Fox You Forest Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 Ridiculous as usual, There were shadows about how can it be bad light. Two great shots form Swann to start with mind.
Fox You Forest Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 Poor Anderson, The only batsmen in the world worse than him is Chris Martin. Onions must be pretty useless with the bat if he's in at 11.

Anderson isn't that bad. No ducks in 47 innings, which is currently joint 6th on the all-time list of players batting in test cricket without scoring a duck!! Batting average of 14.19. He's quite good!

I'm not buying it, He can hardly get bat on ball most of the time. Anyway he's payed to bowl and he's going to take them apart with the ball.
