Ultra Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 most overrated striker ever Was a quality striker for England. His scoring record proves that.
Joe. Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 most overrated striker ever Really? Liverpool - 216 appearances (118 goals) Real Madrid - 35 appearances (13 goals) Newcastle - 69 appearances (26 goals) England - 89 appearances (40 goals) Overall that's a goal every 2.35 games (and that's with his injury record). Speaks for itself in my opinion.
dandannieldanok Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Everton do Better than Michael Owen?Aston Villa do better than Michael Owen? On a free aswell, yeah I'd love to see who they could get in thats better. He's not free though, his wages are £100k a week.
lavrentis Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Spoke to someone last night, He's going Celtic. One of your inside sources?
Koke Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Everton do Better than Michael Owen?Aston Villa do better than Michael Owen? On a free aswell, yeah I'd love to see who they could get in thats better. For £100k a week I wouldn't touch him. He will spend more time on the treatment table that on the field. Both Everton and Villa could get other strikers better than Owen at the moment. And he's not free, he demands at least 100k a week.
Corky Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 most overrated striker ever Disagree. He's always done it in big tournaments, and at Liverpool he was quality. Madrid didn't work out (but his record wasn't appalling by any means), and at Newcastle, when fit, he's scored goals. His record for England speaks for itself. 40 goals from 89 caps.
