Hitesh Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 I have a Maxtor 250GB pocket and its quality. I would also reccomend Western Digital, you can't go wrong! Depends what you are looking for? Something to carry around with you or just to sit on your desktop? If its something you want to carry around and use without power then a pocket is what you need else you can get a larger sized (in terms of memory) one for less money but it does require power! Here is an external portable - WD 320GB which is £2 more than the 250GB! Here is a WD desktop HD for similar price but 500GB Just depends what kind you want and also what you are using it for! I'd recommend a portable HD as they are much easier and less hassle as you don't have to keep it powered!
hairy Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 I use freecom ones. You can replace the HD in them with bigger standard HD if you ever need to
Craig Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Buffalo - 500GB I got this a couple of weeks back, it's served me well so far.
Darkzzz_ Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Lacie Edmini Network 500GB is top notch. I like the fact I can transfer files wireless to my External. I would highly recommend it. The one Craig mentioned is also very good after reading reviews on it.
Hitesh Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Saw a 1TB somewhere earlier for about £83. That sounds like really good value for money! Which make was it? I have seen quite a few around that mark recently...best bet is to look around! Try ebuyer, misco, dabs, overclockers!
MC Prussian Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Quite happy with my iomega UltraMax 500GB. Thinking about going for a 1TB soon.
hairy Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Saw a 1TB somewhere earlier for about £83. Go for it. I have three 1TB tanks (freecom) and they are fanbloodytastic

Darkzzz_ Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 That is a great price to be fair. I am going to get one of these just to dedicate to customers. I can then keep my wireless external for personal use. 1TB it will be for me.
Granno Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Got my retro toshiba from about 3 years ago. 250GB cost me around £150 back in the day
MC Prussian Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Here's a beauty: http://go.iomega.com/en/products/external-...e/?partner=4710 £70-115.
