Koke Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 Got a little bored, so was just looking at how the Championship fared compared to the other leagues. League One only have 1 Midlands club [Walsall, bless them] whilst the Premiership have 4 [Wulfs, Brum, Villa and Stoke]. The Premiership have 8 North-West clubs and London have 5, whilst Sunderland, Hull and Portsmouth are the only teams to represent their respective regions. In League One it's mainly full of southern teams whilst League Two is full of northerners. So we have 4 Midlands derbies as well as 5 easy Yorkshire away games - So we have to clock up less miles than we did in League One. North-West England - 2 Blackpool, Preston North-East England - 2 Middlesbrough, Newcastle Yorkshire & Humberside - 5 Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers, Scunthorpe United, Barnlsey The Midlands - 5 Leicester City, Coventry City, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, West Bromwich Albion Eastern England - 2 Peterborough United, Ipswich Town Greater London - 3 Crystal Palace, Watford, Queens Park Rangers South-West England - 3 Reading, Bristol City, Plymouth Wales - 2 Cardiff City, Swansea City

And I didnt realise there were so few teams in the south now!

Basingstoke Fox Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 Theres more teams in the south than north Does Yorkshire and Humberside not count as north?
TrickyTrev Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 Watford isn't in London. Would probably have a South East group for Watford and Reading, which the likes of Gillngham, Brighton, Southend and Luton would be if they were in the Champ.
Koke Posted 26 May 2009 Author Posted 26 May 2009 Hey, I didn't know where to put Watford & Reading so I went with the next best thing
Flynny Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 To be fair I wish there were more south-west, they'd be nice and handy.
