DJ Barry Hammond Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Takeover target only other aussie better than the blast won the kings stand a few years ago but is now 9 and a bit inconsistent. Running last day I think in a sprint Think I'll wish that one well in mind not pocket then! Where's Bert when you need him?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Think I'll wish that one well in mind not pocket then! Where's Bert when you need him? I would normally say he wouldn't be there if they didn't think he would win. But he travels every where with the horse and if he wins later in the year in America, Hollywood have already commissioned a film to be made if he wins it.
welck12 Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 I know its a day early but has anyone got any tips for thursdays races? My brother is going and i might be getting a spare ticket for it, so any tips would be appreicated
JoeyB Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Been down Laddies earlier and they have an offer if you spend £5 + on a bet before the first race you get a free £1 placepot. anyone got any idea's. be told to back Capercaillie or something in the 455 race. so am looking for a possible double to win with that...... am tempted with an infraaaed or something in the first race.

That presenter off SSN has that horse down as her tip of the day as well, dunno if thats a good or bad thing
dandannieldanok Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Just lumped £5 e/w on docofthebay (14/1) in the Royal Hunt Cup (16:20), apparently those odds are longer than they should be although this race is really hit and miss, anything could happen.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Gone for a pound double on Lush Lashes (15:05) and Tartan Bearer (15:45), both favourites and are supposedly deserved favourites.
Matt Posted 17 June 2009 Author Posted 17 June 2009 That presenter off SSN has that horse down as her tip of the day as well, dunno if thats a good or bad thing I've followed her tips in the past and tbh they either tend to be odds on and so much odds on they are hardly worth betting on, or they do absolutely rubbish. I'm looking at Donativum in the first race.
Matt Posted 17 June 2009 Author Posted 17 June 2009 Gone for a pound double on Lush Lashes (15:05) and Tartan Bearer (15:45), both favourites and are supposedly deserved favourites. Just done a 2.50 double on them.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 I'm one from one I'm going to keep it that way til tomorrow
welck12 Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Donativum just outside the placings. who placed? EDIT - Ignore that just seen
Sparky Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Had a £1 canadian on 5 templegate selections as i was in a rush earlier and the first has come in at 12/1 , makes it a interesting afternoon now
Matt Posted 17 June 2009 Author Posted 17 June 2009 Donativum just outside the placings. Didn't have a bad race really, I thought it might come through to win, or at least place. Shame, Oh well.
welck12 Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Anyone know how good the mirror's tipster is? He called Ouqba to win and Ashram to place in the 14.30, just curious if thats a fluke or if he's usually any good
Matt Posted 17 June 2009 Author Posted 17 June 2009 Gone for a pound double on Lush Lashes (15:05) and Tartan Bearer (15:45), both favourites and are supposedly deserved favourites. Just done a 2.50 double on them. Lush Lashes really didn't look anything special then. I have watched in the past and it isn't a bad horse but was pretty bad in that race. Some women said "I wish Lush Lashes hadn't turned up today" before the race...I don't think it did

welck12 Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Gone for a fiver e/w on Tazeez in the 3.45 at 20/1. Never really bet on the horses before, so may as well go for a longshot to start
Matt Posted 17 June 2009 Author Posted 17 June 2009 Tartan Bearer best do something decent now. Tempted to have a quid e/w on Never On Sunday aswell
dandannieldanok Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Tartan Bearer best do something decent now. Yes I desperately need the Bearer to do something or my day will really turn sour.
Matt Posted 17 June 2009 Author Posted 17 June 2009 Yes I desperately need the Bearer to do something or my day will really turn sour. Same here mate. They were saying on TV, yesterday it was the bookies who got hammered and the punter were happy today is a role reversal, and Tartan Bearer needs to win this race to make it a reasonable day for the punters. It wasn't fantastic day yesterday for me but £20 is good enough, but today is terrible, i've not lost alot but just as a couple quid of gambler, its all about small losses, and small profits.
Matt Posted 17 June 2009 Author Posted 17 June 2009 Right, that's me finished today. Actually in The Sun they wrote about Mia's Boy and it sounds ok, so i'm gonna have 50p E/W on Mia's Boy, then i'm finished. (12/1)
dandannieldanok Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Tartan Bearer just didn't quite have the class in the end, made a better fist of it than Lush Lashes at least. I desperately need this to come off now: Just lumped £5 e/w on docofthebay (14/1) in the Royal Hunt Cup (16:20), apparently those odds are longer than they should be although this race is really hit and miss, anything could happen. And also £5 e/w on Capercaillie (11/2) in the 16:55.
