As has been said on the Confederations Cup thread, their support will be interesting. Very few North Koreans will be allowed to travel to the World Cup, and the majority won't even be able to watch it at home with foreign TV broadcasts and the internet strictly controlled. I somehow doubt their support, composed as it will be of Koreans based away from the country and hand-picked Communist party members from North Korea itself, will be anything like as passionate as their Southern neighbours. With the team ranked 106th in the world by FIFA, they probably won't hang around too long either. Nevertheless, fair play to them for finishing above two traditionally strong Asian teams in Iran and Saudi Arabia, especially with those two teams being ranked nearly 50 places above them.

Iran are out, but Saudi Arabia will now have to play New Zealand to qualify. And they would have to be monumentally shit to fall at that hurdle from what we've seen of New Zealand.

The 5th-placed South American team play off against a team from North/Central America - which could quite easily be USA.

I am still convinced that world cup was rigged for them to stay in as long as they could. Tomassi was never offside for his goal for Italy and Spain with the ball that never went out.... Ah good old 2002, can't believe how long a go this was now!! Time is going so quickly!
