Legend_in_blue Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 I'll start the ball rolling... MGS2 Simply epic. Musical brilliance. Next?
Libertine Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 All MGS since Gregson Williams got involved. Pretty much all Final Fantasy too. Mostly the recent ones though. Get some vids in a sec.
Libertine Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 Metal Gear. The Best Is Yet To Come - MGS1 Can't Say Goodbye to Yesterday - MGS2 Calling to the Night - MGS: Portable Ops Snake Eater - MGS3 Father and Son - MGS4 Here's To You - MGS4 God that was an epic ending. The whole MGS4 OST is amazing. Old Snake and Metal Gear Saga are other highlights.
Libertine Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 Final Fantasy To Zanarkand - FFX Suteki Da Ne - FFX Hymn of the Fayth - FFX Eternity ~ Memory of Lightwaves - FFX2 Yuna's Ballad - FFX2
lavrentis Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 CCFFVII - Under the Apple Tree GTA vice city as a collection of songs My personal favorite is (Lib did you ever play this, not sure if you would like the game if you havn't)
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 I was thinking of doing a similar thread - weird. Anyhow, Frontier - Elite 2 had some inspiring tunes (though none original, were all classical, but very stirring and played at apt times) Final Fantasy is a good call, but for me, as a whole, this has some of the finest computer game music going! I've been known to put Guild Wars on and just wait around listening to the music.
haraven Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Great Giana Sisters ... what a game, what a music score. and also the fantastic Red Sector Inc crack intro.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Quake 1Nuff said Nine Inch Nails did the soundtrack if I remember rightly
shen Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 Great Giana Sisters ... what a game, what a music score. But... That's just Super Mario Land! It's an exact copy even the start of the level is identical to the one in SML
haraven Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 I found this article tho that gives you right that Great Giana sisters was removed on some console for copying the Marios. I thought the Gianas were older, but I really don't know http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http%3A//w...w.php%3Fid%3D57
