BigBawsFaeTheShaws Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Why the fook is the live commentary on LCFC World STILL only available to PC users? Is it really that difficult to make it work on a Mac? Are any of you computer nerds out there able to set up a Mac friendly mirror site again? <_< There was one (linked to match console IIRC) working very well for a large part of last season.
Aeropars Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 Macs blow donkey dick.... I'm a PC and I love LCFC world!
Bluefoxtim Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 'World' is changing to 'Player' and I THINK, this is available on mac, so you may be in luck.
Guest Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Macs blow donkey dick....I'm a PC and I love LCFC world! Bet you love the blue screen of death too eh? Can't wait to get my new macbook so I can run boot camp for this sort of stuff, VPC on my G5 is soooo annoying
MC Prussian Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 No longer worried, as I'm running Vista on my Mac via VMware Fusion. Still hope LCFC World goes Player and opens up to Mac users.

MC Prussian Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Is this compatible with non-intel macs? Nope. http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/reso...quirements.html Both VMware Fusion and Parallels Desktop require Intel-based Macs.
marbelladave Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Anyone with a World account and a modern Mac, running Safari, please try the following. In Safari Menu go to Developer -> User Agent and select IE 8. With that selected try and log onto World. PS If Developer is not in the Menu, go to Safari Preferences -> Advanced and click box. Any Luck?

Bluefoxtim Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 'LCFC WORLD' will be replaced with 'FOXES PLAYER' by the end of the week. http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/player/Home You can see it states "Works on Mac and PC worldwide"
Russell352 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 No longer worried, as I'm running Vista on my Mac via VMware Fusion.Still hope LCFC World goes Player and opens up to Mac users. Vista on a mac. Why?
MC Prussian Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Vista on a mac. Why? My job requires Vista - all other company PCs operate on it and we're sharing our network on Vista. Notice that all others are using Dell...
Edmund Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Can't wait to get my new macbook so I can run boot camp for this sort of stuff, VPC on my G5 is soooo annoying Why? Vista on a mac. Why? This. I never understand why you would want to run boot camp/vista on a mac. Its like buying a Mercedes and putting a rover metro engine inside.
BigBawsFaeTheShaws Posted 29 July 2009 Author Posted 29 July 2009 Notice that all others are using Dell... FOOLS! Ps. Cheers for the posts gents. I'll keep an eye on developments with World changing over to Player. Looks like it could be sorted for the start of the season after all!
Guest Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Why? Literally only for listening to City matches do I use VPC, otherwise I wouldn't touch Windows. But if the different player is available on the world site I'll never have to use it again. It's just that VPC runs so slowly on my G5 at the moment, that's why it's so annoying

As for our own club policies on WebTV streaming, we're lightyears behind still: http://www.lcfc.com/page/WorldKickOff/0,,10274,00.html (Unless they change the services within the next 10+ days... )

So they will be changing it for every club. Just hasn't been advertised on our site yet. I wont be buying anyway think its pretty pointless.

Hitesh Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Either way it still amazes me how they have taken this long to get it compatible for macs.
Bluefoxtim Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1739063,00.html It's changed
DangerLuke Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 I found that if I went into Parallels through OS X i could get it working, bit of a pain but at least I could get involved. Now all they need to do is make it iPhone compatible...

Ricey Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Foxes Player looks good, but it makes me laugh about "crystal clear" video and then the first one they upload looks as if it's been filmed on someones phone
