Guest Bilo Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 Dont agree with you at all. Dexter Blackstock, Paul Mckenna, Paul Anderson, Joel Lynch even Lee Camp to a certain extent are all bloody good signings too IMO. Only duff one is Adebola but he'll only be a back up striker anyway. Time will tell but Id be very surprised if they dont finish in the play offs. They'll score enough goals to keep them out of trouble, that's a given. As Ultra says though, their defence is still too weak to mount a promotion challenge. Without wanting to sound like a stuck record, a good strikeforce will win games but a good defence will win you the championship. Forest only have one and that'll be their downfall. Mid-table for them and us I reckon as we're the other way round, good defence but a bit lightweight up front. I dearly want Ipswich to fail in an epic scale! Mainly due to their manager being a complete tosser and the ticket prices! I do however completely and utterly agree with this. No respect for Keane as a manager after his comments about Clive Clarke.
Joe. Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 I think Forest should do well if they sort out their defence a bit. Attacking wise they've made some decent signings so far it seems, and I think they'll do well.

No respect for Keane as a manager after his comments about Clive Clarke. Little respect for him as a player also - vastly over rated. The stats suggest that it was Beckham and not Keane who had the greater impact on Manchester United in the late '90's early '00's. When Beckham left there were no more Premiership/European titles until Keane shuffled off his mortal coil. As Ferguson's enforcer he was over indulged and got away with murder. The bung meister realised far too late in the day that he had created a monster. Keane's comment that 'We're (United) just an average team in Europe' was ironic indeed. The only thing that he was consistently good at was blaming others for his mistakes.
maddog Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 Tranmere. Bottom by Christmas i suspect, and Barnes will have another 10 years in the managerial wilderness.
Tevez Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 Forest to get into the play offs. Then Billy Davies will work his Premiership "magic" like we've all seen before.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 5 August 2009 Author Posted 5 August 2009 Wolves could surpise a few people aswell......can't see them getting relegated
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Bolton will have solid season, so will Sunderland, Steve Bruce is a good manager and he's bought well. The top 4 will stay as they are, Everton will finish 5th but just don't have the depth for a fourth place finish imo.

Really wanted us to sign him because when ive seen him play always looked a solid keeper. Tranmere.Bottom by Christmas i suspect, and Barnes will have another 10 years in the managerial wilderness. Forgot Barnes took over there. Good luck to him I say but seems like he is to much of a nice guy to be a manager.
