CosbehFox Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 At Filbert Street mine was my first ever game, can't remember what year (90s), we drew 3-3 with Derby and Iwan Roberts scored a hattrick I think). I lived abroad for years, Dad used to get me up at 3am to listen to all the results come in on the radio, but that was the first game I ever saw and loved it http://www.soccerbase.com/results3.sd?gameid=219437 That stonker....got given permission to stay up and watch it on Central Soccer Extra. Reet game and half...even off the highlights.
milan_foxes Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 Stevie Howard Against Leeds last year as I couldnt get to many games at filbo.
Uncle Albert Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 2000:Leicester 1-0 Villa The 2nd leg of the League Cup Semi. My dad surprised me the weekend before with tickets, so it was even more of a bonus that I was going, because I wasn't expecting it. Then to win the game and see all the players and fans enjoying the moment, the roar of Filbert St, and just sheer jubilation was something that I'll never forget. When the final whistle went, I jumped straight into my dads arms with my fist in the air and shouted "Come on!!" It was fantastic. This is up there for me as one of my special moments at Filbert Street, we were expected to be beaten if I can remember and we were lucky that Ian Taylor was only a substitute. The atmosphere after the game was brilliant and something I wont forget for along time, I went with my Uncle and cousin and when Elliott scored I remember falling over seats because everyone was jumping up and down. Classic times. Was 9 years ago! Jesus christ. 3-3 Arsenal is another one of my greatest memories because of the comeback and the main man himself scoring it in the last minute. Very special moment. I like the 4-3 (I think) game with Fulham in the Quater's in 2000, when Walshie made a howler for them to score and go into the lead and then Walsh scored either the equaliser or winner and ran infront of the Kop and celebrated, I recorded the game and watched it again and again and if you look closely at Walsh you can see tears in his eyes. Hero.
purpleronnie Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 I think the performance against Cambridge in the play offs was one of the best nights at filbert street its a bit silly but it seemed we were unbeatable that night.
jockkkk Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 My moment was watching us lift the Cup last season. I've not been in Leicester long enough to have gone to Filbert St (it was knocked down soon after I moved). I worked in the away end the season we went down and it was horrible so it was great as a ST holder to watch us go back up.
