Hazza Posted 10 May 2005 Posted 10 May 2005 I'd take him but we wouldn't be able to afford him and he'll probably be off to a premiership club anyway. He'd probably be one of those who Southampton will look to keep anyway, and definetly wouldn't want to lose to possible promotion rivals.

Canero perhaps, but it sounds as if Levein's not interested in keeping him. Maybe this suggests CL is thinking of playing 3-5-2, with Maybury as a right wing-back and pushing forward to support the central three. Heath is going so I guess we do need a new centre-back to compete for places with McCarthy, Stearman and maybe Dublin. But it just doesn't add up - our squad suggests we need more than four more players. Where does Kisnorbo fit into all this? Is he one of Levein's planned new four, or does he want four more after Kisnorbo? I've heard he's a 'utility' player - I'm wary of those as they often turn out to be average in every position without being excellent in any. p.s. yes this site is much better than TeamTalk - don't go there. There's a few voices of reason over there and I might persuade my brother to switch sites. People seem to have some intelligence over here and dey can tlk wivout typin lyk dis wich iz gud. Init. Man.

I said they had more money to spend and in my opinion they will have. Whether they are as long term financially sound is a completely diferent matter. We are not risk taking, we have learnt from our lessons where as Leeds obviously haven't. Wolves have their sugar daddy to look after them (until he sells up) and Leeds have just shelled out upto £1.1mil on one player. PS. We do owe people money. IF we get into the premier league, the club has to pay the debters a percentage of what was owed. Can't remember the details exactly but it was something like 5% of what was owed each season we were in the premier until we paid off an extra 10 or 20 % of what was owed. Something like that anyway.
step Posted 10 May 2005 Posted 10 May 2005 The voluntary agreement was that city would pay 10p in the pound immediately or if they wanted to wait until we got back into the premier they would pay 30p in the pound. As we went straight up the debts got cleared two seasons ago. So we owe nowt, nada, sulch, zero.
