The ones in bold are bollocks. For starters you are comparing defensive midfielders to more of an attacking midfielder in Scholes.

I haven't seen Scholes be an attacking midfielder since 2002.

OK that wasn't my best shout but i'd still take him over Scholes if i were a current Prem manager. Do people think this is 1999?!

So would I! Although I do love Cattermole a bittoo much :giggle:

Ok I can't be bothered to differ any longer, but you have named players like Osman, Cattermole, Cahill etc.

I hope you never get anywhere near managing a football club! My adice would be to watch MOTD or Live football on a more regular basis

I think you need to follow your own advice, Cattermole shat all over Scholes on Saturday, hence why Scholes was hauled off at half time.

Well said mate.

What aload of tosh about Scholes being an attacking midfielder, thats why he has only scored about 10 goals in the last 3 years. lol Actually make that he has scored 15 from attacking midfield since 05-06.

As you like stats Thomas, heres another one since 05-06 Steven Gerrard has scored 82 goals and Lampard has 83 goals since 05-06 even Michael Carrick matches Scholes since 05-06 on goals.

You can say what you want about Scholes not playing as many games as them but who's faults that? Gotta be Scholes' he should get himself in better condition, Scholes has made 421 club appearences, Gerrard is closing in on 500 for Liverpool, yet Scholes has been playing since 1994.

Sooner people realise that Scholes isnt a brilliant player and not an attacking midfielder. lol

And he bottled it for England.

Thanks for that. OK: Gerrard, Lampard, Essien, Fabregas, Ballack, Mascherano, Palacios, Cahill, Arteta, Barry, Ireland, Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs, Modric & Arshavin (if we count players who sometimes play there), Fellani, probably Osman and Cattermole too. Sure there's more I can't think of

Cheers

Yeah man!

I would put Scott Parker and maybe Mark Noble in there aswell. I would remove Giggs though. :D

Abou Diaby? Alex Song? Awesome players for Arsenal, Nigel De Jong and maybe soon Alberto Aquilani.

He's come on leaps and bounds over the past season. Becoming influential for Arsenal as each game goes by. Needs to learn to use it his left foot though :P
