Zingari Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 any kit so long as it's not red i think the latest one could become a favourite
FoxyLady85 Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 The first kit which I got was the home kit with the crisp on the front of it had number 4 and my surname on the back. I want the current home and away kit not sure about number or name though . I don't want the jessops logo on the back of it though
Karljohn Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 Favourites are the kit worn in 1982 (my first kit!) and also like the following pinstripe effort used in 84 which had the famous green n gold away kit that same season! Award for worst kits must goto scoreline for their piss poor effort, it just dropped to bits. Also hate the LG kit but only cos it reminds me of Peter Taylor.
samlcfc Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the replica versions of this shirt didn't have the sponsor on (this was the first kit to be sponsored) - see picture of Tom Kasabian wearing the away version. yeh, thats the one.
Guest Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 This little beauty. Think this was the first shirt I bought as I'd only just started going down regularly in 92. Great days
Jimothy Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 This little beauty. Think this was the first shirt I bought as I'd only just started going down regularly in 92. Great days I think my first ever kit was the white away version of this. Loved it! Seem to remember though that the Walkers bit and the Fox Leisure logo were made out of some weird spongy stuff that used to collect dust and dirt that was a right pain to get off................or maybe it was just because I was a 9 year old boy at the time and not very good at keeping things like football shirts clean.

Yeah, it was that flock stuff that the lettering was made out of I'm pretty sure. And yes it was a b*stard to keep clean

And yes it was a b*stard to keep clean Thank god I wasn't the only one then. It was the same for the Walkers logo with the yellow crisp behind it that I always thought made us look like giant packets of cheese and onion.

Edmund Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 This little beauty. Think this was the first shirt I bought as I'd only just started going down regularly in 92. Great days My first kit as well. I remember wearing that bad boy for the first time and receiving abuse because of the crisp sponsor . I was the only non Liverpool/Man Utd/Arsenal kit wearer in the playground.
Edmund Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Am I the only one who thinks of Kasey Keller/Arphexad instantly when seeing this shirt?
lildave3 Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Am I the only one who thinks of Kasey Keller/Arphexad instantly when seeing this shirt? No, for it is the Kasey Keller shirt.
Bert Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 My favourite one was the jade and Navy one we had.
Edmund Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 No, for it is the Kasey Keller shirt. Which Arphexad wore when he deputised.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 I have the 94-96 (we last wore it against Palace in the PO Final) shirt pinned on my wall as that was a quality shirt IMO. Favourite apart from that has to be the one straight after with the red Walkers on it. Remember I had the Blue, White and the Yellow one of that.
Edmund Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 My favourite one was the jade and Navy one we had. This one? Im sure I bought this kit as well during my goal keeping stage Had a stupid amount of pads as I remember. Can't believe he's still playing.
andy_croydz Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 I love seeing those old skool kits from the 90's! Those goalkeeper tops were class, especially the Keller one. My fave shirt was probably Walkers crisps 1997 one, the year we won the Coca Cola Cup.
