Nearly finished transferring music after about 6 or 7 hours of doing it.

Cheers again all

Good stuff. Then all you need to do is flog your pc, forget all about windows and concentrate on a long future of foolproof computing with Mac

To be honest, I'm partly responsible for the harddrive drama myself - handled the MacBook Pro a little too carelessly in the past. ^_^

The new unibody models are much more robust, though.

I suspect there's many an entity begging to be carelessly treated by you, Alexie. Robust or no.

Well, I'm not THAT much into computer love, Daggers. Me and my Mac have an open relationship.

It's been working fine for most part. lol

Signed up for a college course £170.

Bought CS4 Design Premium for £270 using my new NUS card.

Saved over £1000.

...Happy days

F-ing genius.

It use to be only uni students who got the discounts, now anyone at Leicester college can get it too!!! With all the other money off you get in other shops the course has paid for itself 20 times over. If you wanted you could quit the course before it begins and get your course fee back. So you could get a FULL and LEGAL CS4 for £250?!?!?

It's a deal, it's a steal, it's the Sale of the fooking Century!

I want one. Daggers, will you sponsor me?

You can't just simply want one. You're to deserve one.

Are you worthy?

We'll figure out a ten-point plan for you to follow as an entry test and shall get back to you soon.

I am worthy, because of my related Swissness. :)

And because I like motorbikes Daggers.

Has anyone connected a MBP to a TV?

I've only connected mine to a Samsung PC screen so far. Worked completely fine. However, the guy who rented his flat out to me had his Mac Mini hooked on his Samung flatscreen TV, doing Linux stuff. And that looked pretty smooth and a bit posh. :D

Depending on your TV, either use that nice component cable or the DVI one.

Coming soon...

that's a sexy wee beastie that is, they've been knocking around

with the tablet idea for ages hopefully it will come into production soon.

I'll be buying my mb pro soon though but if I did just need a notebook

I'd be all over one of them.

I hooked my G5 up to my LCD tv if that's of any use? Just DVI to HDMI worked

perfectly and my mac detected it straight off

Apparently someones booked out the venue that apple have done all their unveilings at for a large technological unveiling or something like that. They reckon that its probably them unveiling this. Late January if i remember correctly.
