Budweiser Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Coventry are insignificant. Forest and Derby don't really care about us a great deal.
Muz Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Forest Leeds Sheff Wednesday Derby. Dont give a fook about Cov,nothing team. Forest and Leeds are on par with each other,Leeds probably just edging it as total ****s as there fans are grade A knob holes.
Podge Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Derby as I know more fans of the sheep shaggers then other teams so the result means more to me for bragging rights then the others.
haraven Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Derby is at top for me, mainly because I have had years of banter with local Derby fans.
Salieri Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Couldn't really give a toss about any of them to be honest.
Suffolk_fox Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 I hate to make sweeping generalisations, but I think the idiocy of 'Hating' another team, city, bunch of fans is part of the equation the creates the Football Thug. Moronic. I rib my Derby mate, but more because it is him. Same with my Ipswich Town friends. But HATE? Give me a fecking break you moron! Hate breeds hate, so now wonder tyres are let down, awful chants are made etc.
Edmund Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 I agree, banter is where the line should be drawn at.
Corky Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Derby the lowest out of the three so far. Surprised about that.
marknotts Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 Got to be Forest with Mansfield a close second.
Rich Fox Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 Got to be Cov living in Atherstone, Cocscum would have us top of there hated pole do we think if they had to choose between us villa and brum city?
Sampson Posted 18 October 2009 Posted 18 October 2009 Went for Derby from the ones listed. But Stoke take it overall, just complete nobodies who happened to send us down, were more bothered about our relegation than their promotion and have now gathered 15,000 fans from nowhere.Actually really respect Forest and love getting up for the games against them, good old school support up there and excellent ground. Loved beating them 2 years ago. Still fail to understand Cov over Derby in the voting. Saying Forest and Derby don't care is also bollocks. Yes not as much as each other but it's clear everywhere I've been decent rivalries exist certainly MUCH more than cov. If you lived in South Leicestershire you would. Grew up around the Sky Blue bastards, they constanty rib Leicester fans, going on about a fluke FA Cup win and staying in the Premiership for an endless run, in which they stayed up on the final day every single year, thank god for Gordon Strachan. Personally, it's Cov by a mile for me don't care one bit about Forest or Derby. And yes, Cov do see us as a muich bigger rival than Forest or Derby, Cov sing songs about us, and their attendence goes up dramatically when we play them at the Ricoh, Forest's and Derby's don't. I know Forest and Derby are the traditional rivals and people will go on about those one's and the club will build them up, but pretty much everyone I know in South West Leicestershire sees Coventry as a very fierce rival, and never even mentions Forest or Derby. The traditional way to rank them would be 1. Forest 2. Derby, and 15 years a go they probably would've been right, but I've seen this poll done on talkingballs and on the 606 boards before in the past couple of years, and like here it also came out as: 1. Forest 2. Cov 3. Derby, iirc on the talkingballs one Forest and Cov had exactly the same number of votes, and well over twice that of Derby's. Coventry is starting to grow as a rivalry outside the SW side of the county by the sounds of it. I barely even it heard of mentioned as a rivalry in the early 90s around the actual club, in 15 years time it could well be seen as the biggest derby match.
Koke Posted 19 October 2009 Posted 19 October 2009 Personally, it's Cov for me. Derby are pretty irrelevant to me really. I dislike them and would love to beat them, but I could say that about Wolves, Stoke, Peterborough and Birmingham.
