I wish I knew and have found it difficult to get my hands on anything that helps and which has not been generated on behalf of some vested interest.

But what I do know is that genuine racism is too serious to have it made trite by someone referring to the reactionary comments made in anger and irritation by a known wacko like Martin Allen.

I find all the above depressing to read and an utter condemnation of Labour's irresponsible social engineering because I really don't recall such things being a part of daily life when I was younger. Yes there were occasional incidents but there wasn't the undercurrent of racial butterness and antagonism that existsin the minds of some people and some organisations today.

It remains true that most of us take people as they find them and positively welcome inter-racial/inter-cultural friendships but it is still ironic that the last three people who have spoken to me about curbing immigration were all non-whites now holding UK passports. All three have lost their jobs in the last 12 months and feel as helpless and abandoned as everyone else as they try to find alternatives.

Anyway, irrespective of that, I find every one of those catalogued incidents is far, far more serious than any insulting or disrespectful remark by Martin Allen and I don't think such examples of real racism should be diluted by something so utterly inconsequential by comparison.
