Thracian Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Why on earth would you drop Morrison? I suppose that's what it amounts to but read nothing into it. I wouldn't use him at full-back because I don't think he's quick or mobile enough (though the alternatives really seem little or no better) and don't mind much which centre-back partners Hobbs. I just felt that Brown is perhaps a better organiser. I'm really not convinced by any of them. I'd like people with comfortable close control who can pass as well as defend in my back line. We don't seem to have any.
Thracian Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 WealeMorrison - Hobbs - BrownN'Guessan ---------------------------- DyerOakley - King - WellensKermit - Waghorn Removes both of the dodgiest aspects of defence, speed down the flanks, release King to roam to shoot from distance and Wellens to dance into the box. Build up some more match-time time understanding between the front two coupling the paciest man in the side with the (allegedly) best striker (on the training pitch). Moving through a fluid set of formations from defensive 442 with Oakley dropping back to an attacking 343, pushing N'Guessan into the front line. It would be interesting to see how such a line-up developed given time to adjust.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 I know Fryatt didn't train last week due to Illness, but how come everyone's taken him out of their 11?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 I know Fryatt didn't train last week due to Illness, but how come everyone's taken him out of their 11? Probably for that reason but I think and hope he can play tonight. Hopefully with Howard up front.
sbfox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Probably for that reason but I think and hope he can play tonight. Hopefully with Howard up front. As much as I respect Howard and his workrate, with him on the pitch, it seems as though the back four have an uncontrollable urge to play hoof-ball....
lildave3 Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 I love western continental ceramic tile floors. I knew it!
