mmarkie Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Will Solano be fit enough to start? Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown Powell Solano Oakley© Wellens N'guessan Howard Fryatt
stivesfox Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Taylor (hopefully signed) Powell Solano Wellens King N'guessan Waghorn Fryatt
Babylon Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Any news on Berner? His steady calm performances have definitely been a miss.
Webbo Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 I doubt Solano will start. I'd expect him to be on the bench.
martyn Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Solano won't be involved on Tuesday, NP has confirmed.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Assuming no other players have been signed, but I would play Taylor if possible: Weale Neilson Hobbs Morrison Powell N'Guessan Oakley King Dyer Howard Fryatt Subs: Logan, Brown, McGivern, Wellens, Gallagher, Waghorn, Kermorgant
mmarkie Posted 23 January 2010 Author Posted 23 January 2010 Solano not going to be involved accoring to NP. Oops didn't see above sorry.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown Berner (If fit, Going to be Mcgivern else) Oakley Wellens King N'Guessan Fryatt Howard
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 NP said before today that Berner is looking at the Newcastle game to be fit by, so I doubt he will play on Tues.

martyn Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Weale Neilson Morrison Hobbs Berner (if not then Powell, McGivern on the 13:00 to Manchester Picadilly please) N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Waghorn Fryatt Subs: Howard, Gallagher, Kermorgant, Oakley, Powell/McGivern, Logan, Brown
samuel Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Any team but the one we have currently. And a new management team please, their hands maybe tied with regards signing any new players, but we have had better attacking options all season but soon they will have all been shipped out!

Karljohn Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 WealeNeilson Morrison Hobbs Berner (if not then Powell, McGivern on the 13:00 to Manchester Picadilly please) N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Waghorn Fryatt Subs: Howard, Gallagher, Kermorgant, Oakley, Powell/McGivern, Logan, Brown You'll do for me. I am not a Neilson fan but the nearest Brown should get to the starting line up is driving the fooking team bus.
Jimothy Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Any team but the one we have currently. And a new management team please, their hands maybe tied with regards signing any new players, but we have had better attacking options all season but soon they will have all been shipped out! Yeah because Pearson and co have done so badly since they came here. Who do you think we are QPR? Remember what happened last time we chopped and changed manager? We were relegated under a manager proven to probably be one of the best in this division with the jobs he's done at QPR, Blackpool and Plymouth. I can understand the frustration in parts. We seemed to start very well and now it seems to be falling away a little. And I know we all have our views on how the team should play, I for one am sick to death of seeing Gallagher or Oakley on the right, and both the full backs are getting on my nerves. But what are we going to do, Pearson clearly doesn't rate his right sided options and players aren't exactly easy to come by to replace to full back. He's clearly looking to address the right side issue with Solano, who will also add experience and quality deliver. Pearson hasn't completed two years in management yet and is showing a hell of a lot of promise, we'd be mad to get rid. People always say look at Fergie or Wenger to see what sticking with a boss can do in terms of sucess, but I think we should look to Birmingham and McLeish. When he joined they were midtable in the Premiership, that season they went down. They could have got rid, but they stuck with him, they went back up and look at them now. Continuity is important in football and too many clubs are too quick to chop and change.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Brum had money...money talks I agree with your point of sticking with Nige and what it can offer us in the long term. Think his hands are tied to a certin extent,if there was a player he really wanted i think MM would support him.
Donut Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Putting on a managerial hat, not saying this WILL be the team:- My team:- Weale Mcgivern (assuming Hamill plays wide left) Hobbs Brown Morrison Dyer King Wellens N'Guessan Waghorn Fryatt REASONING IT IS ESSENTIAL THEY PLAY PROGRESSIVELY THROUGH MIDFIELD FOR THE SYSTEM TO WORK PROPERLY Solano will not feature Ive stuck with N'guessan on the basis of his impact in the Cardiff game, and of late i think he has performed well. Id be looking to get the ball to dyer and N'guessan as much as possible early as im not convinced by the lack of pace Barnsley have at the back. Ive gone for Morrison over Neilson to do a job on Adam Hamill Ive gone for Waghorn and Fryatt initially for their added mobility against Foster and Hassell (assuming they play) as they are certainly slower than the two ive picked. plan b is Howard obviously I want Wellens to play slightly deeper in midfield a) to go up against Hugo Colace in a one on one battle to stop him playing and b) to release king to get into the box late Added emphasis on Dany. Dyer has a tough job up against Shotton (assuming he plays), who is a very promising and definitely potentially future prem player BENCH Logan Powell (feel the game may come too soon for Berner) Neilson Oakley Gallagher Howard Kerm
colbo68 Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Will Solano be fit enough to start?Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown Powell Solano Oakley© Wellens N'guessan Howard Fryatt Christ Almighty! are you still sticking with Brown? are you not watching him at the moment, he is fookin dreadful!!
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 See i don't like Neilson......But i don't like Brown either............
mmarkie Posted 23 January 2010 Author Posted 23 January 2010 Christ Almighty! are you still sticking with Brown? are you not watching him at the moment, he is fookin dreadful!! Well tbh I think we'll sign Taylor, but I was just putting players who we have ATM, and as Brown is better than Nielson then I would go with him.
David Guiza Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 I would personally go with the same team that played today, fair enough we threw it away in the last few minutes but bar that it wasn't the worst display ever. We have barely played the same XI for 2 games in a row. Fair enough McGivern was his usual today but Chris Powell? There is a reason he has played once this season against Macersfield. If Taylor was to come and if out of nowhere we signed a left back i would swap them for Brown and McGivern but i don't think the people who aren't playing are any better then the ones who are.
martyn Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Although both players have severe limitations, I'd pick Neilson at RB and drop Brown as for all his faults, Neilson is generally pretty solid defensively. I get palpitations when anyone runs at Wayne or the ball is at his feet.

I get palpitations when anyone runs at Wayne or the ball is at his feet. This. For me Neilson isnt good but is no where near as bad as McGivern and more recently Brown. Neilson has put in a few ok performances more than what McGivern has, and we have now lost the last two games and Neilson didnt start in either of them so is he the main problem? Powell and Neilson at full back for me, Morrison with Hobbs at CB.
maddog Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 I have no idea i liked the team that NP put out today and we still lost. We need 3 points somehow. Whens Dj back? I would probably bring some or all of Fryatt, Howard, King, Dyer, Powell, Neilson into it.
