Time to Cash In

No need to cash in
yeah because he is so good and his record for leicester show`s just why we should keep him, campbell is the one we should be selling not fryatt get a grip people!

If you read my post you'd realise I never said sell Fryatt. Check the bold text above.

Anyway how many times do I need to say that you cant compare DJ's record at Leicester with any other player because he doesn't play. The season he did play was the same season where Fryatt couldn't score in a brothel. So it's a bit silly comparing one with the other and it's totally irrelevant.

I can't be arsed to argue on the matter because I've had this same argument about ten times now and it's getting boring.

Thats because the loud mouth Aussie decided to send me a nasty email today, so I did write back to him. Also I like people to disagree with me not put the word tosser on a debate. All entitled to air a view on the football I made a suggestion was shot down by many people and hey probabley right in what others said, I just happened to be fustrated after a cold night in Oakwell. All he could reply was tosser and send me some australian rant!!! Uncalled for but hey ho. Thought this was a football message board, not to tell tales that someone has replied to his rude email!!

All i did was reply to your personal message with exactly what i had already said. 7 words is not a rant.

If you don't like peoples opinions then don't post bollox on a public forum, then take offence when someone on the other side of the world who you will highly likely never meet calls you a tosser. Then get on your high horse and state everyone has an opinion, i have an opinion and my opinion was the same thing i had already posted. So have a lovely day

Great thread. We could use the money on bringing in Messi and Ronaldo.

As a well known expert in football, soccer, fussball etc, I can confirm that the game isnt neccasraily about selling one player and bring in 4 and everything becomes all rosey in the Walkers garden. The game is about tactics, confidence, belief, playing to maximum ability and generally all doing your bit. Fryatt is one of the few who has probably played to his potential I would guess. Lets get the maximum out of what we have got first after a season in the Championship and at the end of the season the boss can have a look and see who has stepped up to life in this division, which signings have failed to meet expectations and generally what the next step is.

Why do we have so many knee-jerkers at City. I bet StIves has smashed 5 coffee tables this season with his knee jerks.

Move him on. It's the team that's more important. I sometimes feel that Fryatt's performances are at the expense of the rest of the team. Sure, his goals have been welcome but his work off the ball leaves a lot to be desired and he seems incapable of forging a decent partnership with anyone - a sort of working man's Michael Owen. At least Owen tries to make bad balls into good ones.

A lot of City's problems seem to stem from the fact that the ball doesn't stick enough when played forward and it comes back too quickly and too often. And too often Matt avoids the brickbats by fans saying he gets no service or its the fault of "hoofball". That's a far too simplistic an analysis I fear and why Pearson is having to leave him out of the side recently. When the going gets tough, Matt goes missing.

This is an ordinary looking Leicester City and Pearson is in dire need of funds to pump some freshness into it. Mandaric doesn't look like providing this so his most valuable financial asset has to go.

So sell a 15+ goal a season player, and get who exactly? Cardiff spent £3m on Michael Chopra. Forest spent £2.7m on Rob Earnshaw. Do you [or anyone else] think players of Fryatt's calibre hang on trees waiting to be picked up for peanuts? If it wasn't for Fryatt we would be fighting a relegation battle. He is the difference between being 8th and being 18th.

Fryatt is a solid Championship quality striker. What does he have to do to convince our fans? Find the cure to cancer? Fix the American health care bollocks? Sort out the Middle East conflict?

Fact is the boy will get 15+ for us this season and that is a good return. Too many of our fans live in an unrealistically idealistic state of mind and are too naïve and completely unaware of reality.

I appreciate your view, Kareem, but I'm not suggesting using any money generated to buy another ready made 15 goal striker. So you've put up a straw man and knocked it down in that respect.

Matty has provided 8 goals from open play in the league this season and not all that many that were crucial, ie: important or winning goals. If he's that good then where are all the Championship sides lining up for his services, let alone Premier League. It's just not a credible argument that, when he has an off day, he isn't getting the service. I'm not convinced Matt works hard enough or has the mentality or strength to be an asset to the team when the chips are down.

I'd like to see some money spent on the other areas of the team which are weak. It's no good having a "15 goal a season striker" with a back four and midfield so patently limited as it is. Pearson has squeezed the last ounce from them to the point of trying to get cheapskate replacements. It's no wonder that they haven't made the impact we all wanted.

Of course it would be better if Fryatt could stay but if Mandaric won't provide any more funds, what would you suggest, Kareem?

I'd like to think I'm in that 90%. lol

I was on about stivesfox. He only ever comes on here when we're going through a shit patch, starts his own unnecessary threads because he thinks his views need to be broadcast more than everyone else's, then proceeds to type utter tosh.
