FoxesFan123 Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 BOLTON midfielder Mark Davies has emerged as a Red-hot target for Manchester United and Liverpool. The Trotters star, 21, who plays against Tottenham in the FA Cup fifth round at the Reebok today, found his play-making role restricted under old manager Gary Megson. But Davies has flourished under Owen Coyle, prompting scouts from both clubs to watch him at Manchester City on Tuesday. Representatives from Old Trafford and and Anfield are expected at today's game, with United looking for a long-term successor to Paul Scholes. Interest in Davies is part of a trend for top-flight clubs to look at home-grown talent because of a Premier League law being introduced for next season. It requires teams to have a minimum of eight English players in a 25-man squad. Davies, who is valued at around £5million, arrived from Wolves a year ago and has since gradually forced his way into the starting team.
lou Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 Don't see why not either? He's only 21 and someone like Man Utd wouldn't be a lot of money by their standards. Maybe they feel they could bring him on? I think he'd make a decent enough squad player.
Jaspa Posted 29 June 2012 Posted 29 June 2012 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-eye-mark-davies-the-bolton-946063 Bolton's Davies could be on his way to Liverpool Rodgers looks set to lose out to Spurs on Sigurdsson so is eyeing Trotters attacking midfielder he almost signed for Swansea Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is eyeing Bolton’s Mark Davies in a £6million swoop after missing out on Gylfi Sigurdsson. Iceland midfielder Sigurdsson, who starred for Rodgers at Swansea last season on loan from Hoffenheim, is set to complete an £8million move to Tottenham next week, once Andre Villas-Boas is confirmed as their new manager. But Rodgers is also a big fan of Davies and previously considered signing him for Swansea. The attacking midfielder, 24, shone last term, scoring four goals for a Wanderers side that ended up being relegated to the Championship. Would be a big move for the guy, and further shows he has some undoubtable quality
ousefox Posted 29 June 2012 Posted 29 June 2012 Was the best player i'd seen in a Leicester shirt since Muzzy and seems to have done well in a poor Bolton team.
Fox92 Posted 30 June 2012 Posted 30 June 2012 Very good player. Keeps the ball well and has the ability to beat players. One of the better players I've seen here as well.
FoxLAD Posted 30 June 2012 Posted 30 June 2012 remeber watching him playing for us, just taking on players for fun. quality player.
Guest shearfox Posted 30 June 2012 Posted 30 June 2012 Great player but very injury prone, spends more time on the treatment table than the pitch...
