Maybes Posted 8 April 2010 Posted 8 April 2010 I think that sounds reasonable enough, what is it like a 45 minute journey or something? 1hour.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Hopefully on Fox Travel will see another 'Crackin Moment'. Against Peterborough, Bernie was spazzin out shoutin at his newpaper Stevie Walsh Stevie Walsh etc... Some Emo got on , Looked at him as if he was a piece of dirt, everyone could see her because she was standin up at the front, she turned round and smashed her head straight into the Overhead storage, Fukin Quality .. Anybody else see this on coach 8 ? Not strictly about this game but felt the need. Was anybody on coach 3 for West Brom and ifso did you witness the driver sounding his very loud air horn. A child was stood nearby at a bus stop and shat himself. I cracked up, much to the annoyance of his mother, who flicked V's at us, and also had a pop at my old man (who was also laughing) giving him the 'specky' hand genstures so near enough everyone on the coach stood up and gave her some back. Def a 'cracking moment'.
James. Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Watch out for the trains in Saturday James I think they are pretty messed up between Kings Cross and Peterborough with engineering works if that's how you were getting there Cheers Jay, yeah I checked after booking my ticket and the train that gets in at 2:25 takes 2 hours with 2 changes... nevermind!
Unit Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 I'm being hardcore and getting a lift there off my mum Because when I booked tickets it was cheaper to buy a single ticket back to Leicester than it was for the return, sorted. (£20 return, £5 single)
Rocky Dennis Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Anyone know if the 11:15 train from Leicester stops at Melton and Oakham?
lcfcadam Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Anyone know if the 11:15 train from Leicester stops at Melton and Oakham? www.nationalrail.co.uk It won't bite, honest! And by the way the answer is yes...
Rocky Dennis Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 www.nationalrail.co.uk It won't bite, honest! And by the way the answer is yes... Many Thanks My reason for asking is that Rail Easy said Yay and Trainline said No Therefore I thought the 'experts' on here would clear it all up!!!!
lcfcadam Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Many Thanks My reason for asking is that Rail Easy said Yay and Trainline said No Therefore I thought the 'experts' on here would clear it all up!!!! I HATE thetrainline, it's just evil. Avoid at any cost! crosscountrytrains.co.uk for buying train tickets any day...
Shrenchel Posted 9 April 2010 Author Posted 9 April 2010 I HATE thetrainline, it's just evil. Avoid at any cost! crosscountrytrains.co.uk for buying train tickets any day... How come? I've always thought it's pretty sound. No booking fee. Good if you're splitting your ticket up to get a cheaper fare because it lets you order tickets that are under a fiver (East Coast website doesn't.) They do printable e-tickets for some journeys which saves a lot of shit, especially if you're jumping a local train to get to the main station.
Wils Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 9.15am train. I havent decided which one im getting yet. Either arrive at 9 - 45 or at 11 - 45!
Maybes Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 I havent decided which one im getting yet. Either arrive at 9 - 45 or at 11 - 45! Make sure its the 9.45 mate.
Wilkesy Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Make sure its the 9.45 mate. I agree with this. Make it happen Wils.

evs_the_fox Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 What about Boozers??? Anyone got an alternative to the Drapers Arms (which is a shit hole and you get kicked out about 2pm)?? Sorry if answered elsewhere, im sat opposite my gaffer who thinks im grafting and I cant be arsed to trawl the thread!! Through looking on here and by Googling 'away pubs in Peterborough' I've got 5 to choose from tomorrow The Cherry Tree and Palmerston Arms on Oundle Road The Charters (a boat on the river) The Brewery Tap on Westgate - near the station and then the Drapers... These appear to be the most recommended for away fans. Hope that helps.
Fosse Boy Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Word on the rails is that the 9.15 is the new place to be. 8.37 from Harborough it is then.
Fosse Boy Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 But....10:15.... It meant an hour longer in bed... Can you not just sleep in the overhead storage locker on the train?
Guest Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 But....10:15.... It meant an hour longer in bed... If it's any consolation, I am planning on being on that train.
Mee Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Looking forward to this. Coach 4 for the third time in a row . Anyone else on it?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 The tickets for Posh fans are no longer all ticket, so anyone who wanted to sit rather than stand can go on the day and sit in the Posh end if they so wish. They are so disorganised when it comes to ticket seling.
lildave3 Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 If it's any consolation, I am planning on being on that train. Well that's made my mind up, i'm bailing.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Looking forward to this. Coach 4 for the third time in a row . Anyone else on it? Coach 3 for me, with that wacky driver.
