I'm not too impressed with Cardiff lately, and last Saturday was just a slip-up for City. 3-1 to the home side.

Oh, and apparently, I've got a quote in the matchday program, so here's hoping LCFC's editors didn't butcher it too badly.

This is definitely the most important home game we have left. Cardiff are going to be up there somewhere in or near the playoffs come the end of the season and if we can finish above them it will virtually guarantee that playoff place.

I can't even see one of the chasing pack of 4, (M'Boro, Blackpool, Coventry, Sheffield U) finishing above us, so certainly not two, and two of those sides would have to finish above us to deny us a playoff place should we end up finishing above Cardiff. With the games those sides have got coming up they are guaranteed to drop points at somepoint because they play eachother.

Our destiny is still very much in our hands, i think the season will be done or dusted for us by the Middlesbrough game, but just incase it goes down to the wire at least we have a winnable home match on the final day of the season. We're well clear of M'Boro now so they won't be catching us with their inconsistent season.

A stoppage time collaspe in the Fa Cup at Cardiff allowed them a glamour tie at Stamford Bridge. We one of the very few sides, i think theres only been one or two more, to score 3 goals at Stamford Bridge since they got all their money from Roman and became good.

Cardiffs recent form is dodgy to say the least, we are still a couple of points ahead of them even after their win and our defeat on Saturday, so a draw next week would be a lot better for us than it would be for them in the playoff race. But even if Cardiff lose to us next week, with Blackpool going to West Brom and Covs goal difference, Cardiff will still be in 6th place but we will be 5 points ahead of them.

And on the 16th March Cardiff play Coventry so if we can somehow get two wins from these next two then the playoff place is surely ours.

In their last 7 games in all competitions Cardiff have scored just 6 goals and conceded 15. We have been freely scoring at the Walkers recently. Cardiffs last away game ended in a 3-0 defeat at Preston.

Pearson will probably make a couple of changes i think for this one, is Berner suspended now after getting booked again :dunno:

I would like to see a 4-4-2 formation, not this 4-5-1 we have been seeing with players like Gallagher and Oakley totally out of position. Kermo hasn't scored yet but has hardly started any games so you can't expect him too really, mostly he's been limited to 20 minutes or less here and there.

Kermo partnering Waghorn up front with N'Guessan or Adams in the side would do me. Gallagher will probably have to play after his recent form. I think in general the midfield 3 of Oakley, King and Wellens have been extremely poor in a lot of games this season. Especially Wellens and Oakley.

Wellens was fantastic in the early part of the season but in his last 15-20 games he's not been anywhere near as good.

A win would be great here, a loss would be awful though, a draw would do nicely, possibly a drab 1-1 here with a couple of scrappy goals, which would do for us <_<

:dance::celebrate::yahoo::punk: :locked: :santa::banana::jump::bounce::D

cant bloody go today cos am at bloody work!!! we gotta play better than last weekend cos we were shite!! However, I think we will play better and we will win. Hope he drops Oakley today and plays Danny or Jimmy

I think you're all seriously underestimating our potential to put the ball away, 31 goals in our away games says it all really.

I think you're underestimating our defence and our decent home record.

Apparantly Stringers tweeted Brown aint fit, oh no not Neilson!

Nah, I think we'll see Bruce start. I think Stringer mentioned it too...

Weale

Bruce, Morrison, Hobbs, Berner

Oakley, King, Wellens

Gallagher, Waghorn, Dyer

Subs : Logan, McGivern, Solano, Adams, N'Guessan, Vaughan, Howard

That is quite a tasty starting eleven setup. Then I take a look at the names on the bench and...

It's all coming together, piece by piece. And that for a newly-promoted side.
