This is definitely the most important home game we have left. Cardiff are going to be up there somewhere in or near the playoffs come the end of the season and if we can finish above them it will virtually guarantee that playoff place.

I can't even see one of the chasing pack of 4, (M'Boro, Blackpool, Coventry, Sheffield U) finishing above us, so certainly not two, and two of those sides would have to finish above us to deny us a playoff place should we end up finishing above Cardiff. With the games those sides have got coming up they are guaranteed to drop points at somepoint because they play eachother.

Our destiny is still very much in our hands, i think the season will be done or dusted for us by the Middlesbrough game, but just incase it goes down to the wire at least we have a winnable home match on the final day of the season. We're well clear of M'Boro now so they won't be catching us with their inconsistent season.

A stoppage time collaspe in the Fa Cup at Cardiff allowed them a glamour tie at Stamford Bridge. We one of the very few sides, i think theres only been one or two more, to score 3 goals at Stamford Bridge since they got all their money from Roman and became good.

Cardiffs recent form is dodgy to say the least, we are still a couple of points ahead of them even after their win and our defeat on Saturday, so a draw next week would be a lot better for us than it would be for them in the playoff race. But even if Cardiff lose to us next week, with Blackpool going to West Brom and Covs goal difference, Cardiff will still be in 6th place but we will be 5 points ahead of them.

And on the 16th March Cardiff play Coventry so if we can somehow get two wins from these next two then the playoff place is surely ours.

In their last 7 games in all competitions Cardiff have scored just 6 goals and conceded 15. We have been freely scoring at the Walkers recently. Cardiffs last away game ended in a 3-0 defeat at Preston.

Pearson will probably make a couple of changes i think for this one, is Berner suspended now after getting booked again :dunno:

I would like to see a 4-4-2 formation, not this 4-5-1 we have been seeing with players like Gallagher and Oakley totally out of position. Kermo hasn't scored yet but has hardly started any games so you can't expect him too really, mostly he's been limited to 20 minutes or less here and there.

Kermo partnering Waghorn up front with N'Guessan or Adams in the side would do me. Gallagher will probably have to play after his recent form. I think in general the midfield 3 of Oakley, King and Wellens have been extremely poor in a lot of games this season. Especially Wellens and Oakley.

Wellens was fantastic in the early part of the season but in his last 15-20 games he's not been anywhere near as good.

A win would be great here, a loss would be awful though, a draw would do nicely, possibly a drab 1-1 here with a couple of scrappy goals, which would do for us <_<

1-1 draw I think.

I'd probably take that as well, Cardiff are a bloody good side.

We really need to get a result in this and I would definately take a draw. I would also stick with this formation as it seems to work against the better teams who actually try and play football.

Going for a 2-0 win.

Morrison goal early on, make us sweat for a bit, then seal it with Kermo's first goal.

(Everyone can dream can't they)

15-0 to the foxes - Yann, Berner and King to score hattricks.

this is only 9-0, i need the rest of the scorers for my betting please :)

They will come at us and sneak an early goal, then Waghorn will pull one back with a superb volley from 22 yards on 42 mins. In the 70th minute, Jack Hobbs will beat 3 players, slide through a perfect pass to Gally who will dummy the defence and walk it into the net.

The final 20 mins of panic and hoof will see us all little more than a quivering mess on the floor at 90 mins.. but satisfied with a 2-1 win and locked into the playoffs.

I am confident about this one. Cardiff have had a little slump although they won they other day and therefore I think we'll win.

To be honest, everyone who went knows, we were rubbish against Sheffield Wednesday but Nigel did win manager of the month so we'll be back to our ways on Saturday against Cardiff.

Leicester City 3-0 Cardiff City: Gallagher (2), King.

I wouldnt go quite that far... theyre on a poor run despite their last game and their fans are not happy with the way theyre playing by all accounts.

There for the taking I reckon and not anywhere near as good as Florist and we beat them convincingly.

Win 2-1

We'll win. Why? Because we have to and so far, when the chips are really down, we've produced the goods. It's those silly, seemingly easy games that we lose, like the Owls :frusty:

just left the other six goals to the rest of the team to share out amongst them. If pushed i'd say waghorn (2), Dyer (1), Wellens (2) and Weale to get one in the last minute (overhead kick a la schmeichel).

That would leave Cardiff a quivering mess and they would then fall into a relegation scrap due to the emotional trauma incurred by such a defeat. :P:P

My real prediction is similar to yours though

Cardiff are either class or shite. There hit or miss.

Draw 0-0.

Its conceiveable our season COULD be decided by the two Cardiff games.

On saturday, Cardiff are a pretty inconsistent outfit IMO and are very beatable. I have my doubts about their playoff credentials full stop, BUT they are threatening up front, so i can see goals in the game, and i dont think something like a 3-2 leicester is beyond reason, although a point wouldnt be a terrible result.

I can see a positive Leicester reaction after the offday at Wednesday, and id certainly say Leicester would start the game as warm favourites.

THE DANGER scenario for me would be two defeats to cardiff, especially seeing as the teams below us like Sheff U and Blackpool seem to pick points up regularly and from nowhere Coventry have just gone nuts and are flying up the table.

Definitely a leicester win saturday though.

im going 3-2, lots of goals

Id take a point, but i reckon we can win this. Cardiff are on bad form atm, losing 2-0 at Ipswich today. Looking at some of the fixtures for Saturday and next Tuesday, 4/6 points would be worth so much. If we can get 4/6 points from our next 2 games, I can't see us not getting a play-off place.
