Clive Redman Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Walshy visited the training ground last week and speaks very highly of Pearson and his staff in his latest blog... "I was so impressed by the level of coaching. Nigel oversaw everything with Chris Powell, Shakey and the other coaches playing their part. The set-piece drills were so thorough and the lads had a real spring in their step, which made me so confident of the result against Peterborough. I just knew we’d win. "The organisation was amazing and the set piece preparations were very detailed. Training was good under Martin O’Neill but what I saw last week was a step up from that." Cat Burger Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 But would he say if they were all just standing there scratching their arses and wanking each other off? (I'm sure they're not by the way)
Edmund Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Once again Clive cheers. I really enjoy the articles in the SOAR. Keep up the good work

flanimal Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 In that case, why do we hardly ever score from free kicks?!
Matt Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 In that case, why do we hardly ever score from free kicks?! Majority of corners are poor aswell.
flanimal Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Majority of corners are poor aswell. Exactly. Not organised enough, it would seem.
teblin Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Exactly. Not organised enough, it would seem. You train to defend them as well as score them you know!
flanimal Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Yeah well, should practice scoring them more! We got guys like Hobbs and Brown on the pitch, we should be getting them score at least one header!
Lillehamring Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 In that case, why do we hardly ever score from free kicks?! um, maybe that's why we are practising them
ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 There aren’t many keepers in recent memory that I can put in the same bracket. Kevin Poole is probably the next best, Tim Flowers was very good but approaching the end of his career and Kasey Keller was decent, but for me, not as good as Weale. Weale's had a great season no doubt, and he's got potential to go further, but in on the other hand its early days and in the Championship - the other guys did it in the Premiership... surely you can't put Weale in the same bracket as the others yet? I think it's a bit tougher when you've got Henry or Bergkamp bearing down on you as opposed to Chopra or Alien Head.
