Cardiff Takeover will it happen now

Recommended Posts

After todays result does anyone think the new investor for Cardiff will now back out . With the court hearing being delayed from the other week giving them effectively time to see if they reach the prem which of course they now havent so no money to make for the malaysians , just debts to pay off . Personally I think they will walk and Cardiff will go into admin and start season with 10 point deduction

I don't like Cardiff, so if they do get a point deduction I won't feel sympathy for any of them. Plus, they are one of the stronger teams, getting points taken away is good news for Leicester if they want to get promoted.

I've said before, they should be administration already.

The High Court needs to grow some balls and get them in admin.

If they do go into admin, surely someone should ban Ridsdale from being a director of any more companies. He's getting a history of this sort of thing.

I don't like relying on other teams getting deductions but it'd be a big help to anyone with top 6 aspirations if Cardiff get docked points. That said, I seem to remember an administrator saying on the radio that the club has assets worth £60M (Bothroyd, Chopra, Ledley, Whittingham etc) so I doubt they'd be near the top 6 if that lot were sold to keep them afloat.

On another note, Cardiff, Leeds, Pompey and potentially Millwall in the same division will test the police resources of a few counties next season.

I doubt it, they have assets i.e. players. Chopra and Wittingham alone could raise enough funds to keep the taxman away for a little while.

i'd have expected the takeover to be dependent on promotion but even if the takeover doesn't happen they won't go into admin. Partially because they can raise the money by selling Chopra, Bothroyd, Wittingham etc. and partially because HRMC are majorly laking in balls (which is why they haven't already gone into admin)

Ridsdale the grim reaper of football has woven another wonderful mess.

Took a massive gamble at Leeds and as soon as they finished outside the top 4 it was game over. The same or worse could be Cardiff's fate now another huge gamble has backfired.

The bloke is like one of these doris's who cant stop running up her credit card.

The bloke is the kiss of death and should be banned from football permanently.

Cardiff fans must be fuming every time he appears on the TV. He was practically Cardiff's sole representitive today on SSN, trying to get in every interview possible. Proper milking the occasion even though he's leaving at the end of the month.

I hope it doesn't, because they're an arrogant bunch of tossers on and off the field, but I wouldn't wish bankruptcy on them. Administration, a fire sale of their best players and a relegation battle next season would be funny as hell though.

Cardiff are apparently in for Craig Bellamy, according to SSN.

What.

That is ridiculous. He is a cardiff fan I think and was at the game against us but surely that's a HUGE step down when he has the chance to be playing in a potential top 4 premier league team next season! Also as much of a **** as he is, if he did make the move I'd sort of respect it, if I was a footballer I'd love the chance to play for Leicester and I imagine by now he's financially stable so fair play

I always thought Bellamy would end up at Cardiff one day - but not yet surely :dunno:

I saw something about the Cardiff takeover earlier today but only caught the end of it so not sure whether it was good or bad news for Cardiff.

It wasn't a "sky sports source" they were just reading out newspaper rumours. It's complete and utter horse shit.

If you report another source, as a media institution, you a reporting it yourself.

That said, I'm sure it's total rubbish.
