Asha Posted 27 July 2010 Posted 27 July 2010 I caught a glimpse of it in the ticket office. And even with a 20% discount, I can't see myself getting it.
Edmund Posted 27 July 2010 Posted 27 July 2010 The thing is if they spent £5 making it & made it better quality & design they may sell say 10000 with a £35 profit instead of selling 5000 because it's cheap & tacky with a £39 profit. Having it as cheaply & badly made as possible means thousands of fans instantly won't buy it. The point I was making is that no kit will cost more than a quid to make. Spending £5 on manufacturing it will make no difference. If quality is an issue it lies directly with the manufacturer. Kits which "don't appear to be tacky" cost the same amount to be made as it's all sourced from the Far East.

The thing is, I think that we as football fans are sufficiently idiotic to buy whatever's put in front of us. I'd like to think they have someone, somewhere, looking at sales figures, doing some analysis, and working out projected sales based on previous knowledge, but I doubt that very much.
Master Fox Posted 27 July 2010 Posted 27 July 2010 I do wonder if we'll ever actually have a nice kit?
Neil_LCFC Posted 27 July 2010 Posted 27 July 2010 It's got to the point where I would rather we had a generic off the shelf Adidas/Umbro/Nike/Puma shirt that is the same as several other teams than our own designed s****y quality Jako/Joma/Burrda rubbish . It would be nice to have our own individual kit designed by adidas/kappa etc but we are too cheap to do it so get one off the peg if that's the case at least it will be better than we are used to.

Too right. I can't imagine an Adi/Umbro/Nike/Puma deal cost anymore than an extra 5 quid a shirt, if even that. So just tack the extra cost onto the final price of the shirt. I know I'd rather pay 45 for a quality shirt than 40 for what we usually get.
Ashley Posted 27 July 2010 Posted 27 July 2010 Joma was good quality if you ask me, I don't know why people are moaning about it. Leicester will probably never be sponsored by Nike, Adidas and Umbro(especially Umbro as the Forest chairman owns/owned them, I think they might of been brought out by nike?)
Jimothy Posted 27 July 2010 Posted 27 July 2010 Bring back Fox Leisure I say! My sister started a Facebook group a while back, don't think it really ever got going though. Link
