Mark Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 You may have noticed that we have been using a new version on here for the past week. Nothing major changed (except the mobile skin) but there are a number of new features which may or may not intrest you. Firstly - login. You can now login using facebook connect. If you use this you can link your account to your account on facebook. This won't disclose your profile to anyone else but it will offer you a singular login. To do this when you logout and attempt to log in you should see a option to login facebook: (you can also do this at the link below) You can then link your existing account to your FT account. Once you have done this you have further integration options. You can find these settings by going to your profile settings. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=members&area=facebook The upgrade has also brought a new notifications system. Again in your profile you will find a new section for notifications: http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notifications This allows you to set up different notifications. The best of which, in my opinion, is getting a simple inline notification when someone quotes a post of yours. When someone quotes your post you should see a new box to the right of the previous flag for PM's We have also updated the mobile skin, as well as the alternative Blue skin which can be selected at the bottom of the forum. You will also see buttons below that to link to a whole host of social media applications. Click on the desired one and it'll post a link from FT to your desired social app. Those are the main changes. You may notice to the right of each topic is this icon . Click that for a topic preview. You may also customize your profile, adding a background image although that isn't fully working yet.
