HankMarvin Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Swansea have received no contact from Leicester amid speculation linking Paulo Sousa with the vacant managerial post at the Walkers Stadium. Sousa is the early frontrunner to replace Nigel Pearson, who left Leicester on Tuesday to take over at Championship rivals Hull. But Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has played down the reports and stressed that Sousa is focusing on the start of pre-season training with the Welsh club. "I have never had a letter, an email or a phone call from anybody at Leicester," Jenkins told the Evening Post. "There hasn't been any contact and I have got no idea whether they are interested in Paulo. "I am not commenting on speculation. I have had a meeting with Paulo and he is concentrating on Swansea City."
Koke Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Former Portugal international Paulo Sousa, who fell out with his board at Swansea over a lack of transfer cash, will also be on Mandaric’s shortlist. Someone tell Sousa that we are basically Swansea, but playing in blue. I wonder if Mandaric lies to candidates and tell them they'll have a decent budget just to lure decent managers to the club.
Jon the Hat Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 I have to say I am a little bit concerned about this. No letter? Email? Card? How can it be that the Swansea Chairman is not on Milan's Christmas card list? Surely it would just be good manners for send a friendly email once in a while? Huw is clearly upset and trying to hide it. Come on Milan, sort it out.
