googie Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 the season is nealy on us and i still have no idea of the starting 11 that the new manager will put out. What do you think the 11 will be and what would your 11 be.also what formation do you think we should go with.My 11 Weale Adams Berner morrison Hobbs© Galli Wellens King Dyer Fryatt DEE JAY
MikeyT Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 Decent side there although am not keen on Adams starting at right back that's the only thing. But not overly keen on Nielson either, so not sure on that position.

But not overly keen on Nielson either, so not sure on that position. Would say the same really, but in the mercury match report it had nielson mentioned 3 times for really positive things in the game last night. A cross to set up King, a nice pass from defence to Fryatt who set up DJ for his goal, and a clearance near the line after a McCann Freekick. Did anyone who went have an opinion on how he played? I ask because some of the Swansea fans did say Sousa would get some of our less obvious players playing really well. Maybe Neilson will be one of the players who will come good? (or maybe not)
Houdini Logic Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 If DJs getting another shot, then Neilson certainly deserves one
Petchy Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 There were three positions I wasn't too sure of tbh.. LB: Kennedy may potentially be better than Berner, but for now Bruno's too reliable to drop. RB/RCB: Placed Morrison at Right Back due to me personally not trusting Adams or Neilson at all. Vitor placed at Centre-Back for now as from what I've seen of him at Benfica, looks solid. Could change him with a fully fit Tunchev or Morrison if our right back Problem is sorted. LM: Dyer has always seemed to be our LM without a question, thus why I've put him in my XI. But I would like to see N'Guessan feature regularly in the team and get a deserved run out.. and he can play either side.

That's the only player i don't know about.

I don't even have Vitor on my FM I'd agree with that team probably, but we badly need another full back or centre half, whichever we get we can put Morrison in the other position of those two. I'd personally rather have Neilson at right back than Adams though.

You should have put large database on I am running large database with about 30 leagues and i'm in 2016 now, Vitor is a portugeuese international with about 30 caps
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 Weale Neilson (Only because I doubt Sousa will play Morrison at RB) Morrison Hobbs Berner King Wellens Gallagher (attacking mid role) Fryatt (either side of Howard, sort of on the wing) DJ Howard 4-2-3-1

Cheese Me Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 Weale Neilson (Only because I doubt Sousa will play Morrison at RB) Morrison Hobbs Berner King Wellens Gallagher (attacking mid role) Fryatt (either side of Howard, sort of on the wing) DJ Howard 4-2-3-1 Like the look of that a lot, plenty of skill and goals in there plus the ability to switch around with Dyer and DNG on the bench

A cross to set up King, a nice pass from defence to Fryatt who set up DJ for his goal, and a clearance near the line after a McCann Freekick. Did anyone who went have an opinion on how he played? I don't rate Neilson, I've never thought he was anywhere near good enough for our starting 11, but actually looked pretty good last night, worries me that it was against a poor league one Peterborough side, but Nicky Adams is clearly not a right back, so this position is very much in the air! I ask because some of the Swansea fans did say Sousa would get some of our less obvious players playing really well. Maybe Neilson will be one of the players who will come good? (or maybe not)
VampLCFC Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 I messed that last post up.... Oh well..... Was basically saying I don't normally rate Neilson, but he looked alright last night, bearing in mind it was against a team a league below us who didn't really trouble us too much all night, sounds like we need this Vitor to be fully fit, maybe in the centre with Hobbs and put Morrison back in the RB position
VampLCFC Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 As it stands...... Weale Neilson (until we sign a replacement) Morrisoson Hobbs © Burner N'Guessan King Wellens Gallagher Dyer Campbell or Fryatt Hate to say it but Campbell looking better option at the minute
gh09lcfc Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 Hope Gallagher will be fit for the Palace game, could be crucial for the start of the season. Would start him off maybe Howard or Campbell, at least our strikers are scoring that's a positive thing.
andy_croydz Posted 28 July 2010 Posted 28 July 2010 gally not fit for palace game I think we will start with N Guessan on the right wing, I'd prefer Gally up front anyway, his natural position is a striker but he seems to have been moulded into a right winger by Pearson.

This is our strongest side yes with Danny pushing Dyer for Left Mid and Howard pushing the 2 strikers. Its obvious though we are very thin on numbers, i agree with the Manager about quality over quantity but we really do need a right back and a right sided midfielder, also an injury to a centre mid or centre back now and we are fooked!

This Laptop is slow as fvck thats why. Weale Neilson (Only because I doubt Sousa will play Morrison at RB) Morrison Hobbs Berner King Wellens Gallagher (attacking mid role) Fryatt (either side of Howard, sort of on the wing) DJ Howard 4-2-3-1 Like this? : WealeNeilson - Morrison - Hobbs - BernerWellens - KingFryatt - Gallagher - CampbellHoward Quite like that if I'm honest.
googie Posted 1 August 2010 Author Posted 1 August 2010 Looks like this is the team the boss will put out.(if we font sign any1 else! Weale ? Berner Hobbs Morrison Wellens King Galli(if fit if not Danny N) Dyer Dee J Fryatt

Yes, like that, I couldnt be arsed to write it out neatly like you though! Though I would prefer Lamey to start if signed, and with Gallagher not fit, put Oakley in and have a 4-3-2-1 formation. Having said that though, I expect it to be 4-4-2 with a very similar team to yesterday's starting 11.
