AoWW Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Look what's happened now you've rushed me, lost four laps and got no info.
Narborough_fox Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Seriously now, I am getting annoyed. 2 retirements out of 2.
Asha Posted 24 September 2010 Author Posted 24 September 2010 Head up mate, there's a lot of racing to be done yet.
AoWW Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 We're going well. We're just late starters. Now go and do your runs.
AoWW Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Done, wasn't much left to do. Please tell me it was a tactical decision to do your qualifying runs on soft tyres in the middle of a storm?
Fox You Forest Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Please tell me it was a tactical decision to do your qualifying runs on soft tyres in the middle of a storm? Of course.
Narborough_fox Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Gray "I've let Team Wales down" Speaking after the Monte Carlo Grand Prix, where he finished 10th, Team Wales driver Matt Gray said that he had let his team and his team-mate Ashley Jupp down. Gray has had an appalling start to Formula FoxesTalk season 18 with 0 points in 5 races. Gray said "First of all I would like to apologise to my Team for my appalling start to my career with them and my poor start to the season, they gave me a chance and I have blown it. I've let Team Wales down. Secondly my deepest apologies go out to Ashley, he was looking for a good partner to be his team-mate as he looked for his 2nd championship in a row and I have not been that team-mate he needed. Finally I apologise to the fans who have backed me, I hope I can repay them in some way" It is thought that Matt Gray is thinking about his future in Formula FoxesTalk after his poor start to the season.
Asha Posted 30 September 2010 Author Posted 30 September 2010 JUPP: "YOUNG MATT HAS 'AMAZING' POTENTIAL." Team Wales' driver Ashley Jupp has given his public backing to team-mate Matt Gray. Five races in and the team only have twelve points in a frankly horrendous start with Jupp claiming all of the earnings so far. However, Jupp has responded to emerging criticism of his young team-mate. "He's doing all the right things. He's doing his laps without fail - he seems to be selecting good strategies etc - he has just been incredibly unfortunate in the races." Meanwhile, Jupp has admitted that the chances of Team Wales' winning any titles this year is 'extremely unlikely'. "We're a long way behind and it's disappointing, but it means we just have to reassess our targets for the year. We want to (at the very least) finish third in the constructors and get one of us in the top 5 of the drivers' championship. McLewis and Hyper Oguri boys are simply too good this year." In a finishing statement regarding his team-mate, the 18-year-old current champion told us "He's had a tough start but the results will come - I still wouldn't be surprised if he was pushing for podiums by the end of the year, and if that's the case then it will have been progress for him. He's got amazing potential, but saying that there is no pressure on him to perform. It'll all come in his own time."

AoWW Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 We might as well not bother. I'm just stunned to have finished, tbh.

Asha Posted 11 October 2010 Author Posted 11 October 2010 TEAM WALES' WIN A "SIGN OF PROGRESS" Team Wales driver Ashley Jupp has praised the team following the Hungarian GP tonight. Jupp, who started second on the grid, dominated the race with only former team-mate Fi Ridgwell escaping the humiliation of being lapped. He took the chequered flag to notch up his 21st victory in Formula Foxestalk. "It was a really nice win" he told us earlier, "the team really pulled it out today and it was deserved. We've started horrendously but we're picking things up now, and even though it's obviously too late to challenge for titles, we're aiming for third in the constructors and that's definitely achievable." In recent races Team Wales have improved in terms of results, a turn of fortunes which followed a regular slating from the media. "Yeah, they've been really hard on us. But the people of Wales expect their team to be challenging for titles, and we haven't delivered - that's understandable." Jupp, who currently sits in 5th place pointed out. Some critics have also questioned the ability of Jupp's team-mate Matt Gray, who in his eleven races in Team Wales has only managed three points. "I know it sounds like I'm just defending him, but he really is a good lad and has just been so unfortunate this season. I wanted to team with him because I believed he had amazing potential - that view hasn't changed it will just take him a while to realise that potential." Speaking of his failed title defence, Jupp admitted "it's disappointing that I haven't been able to give it a go this year. It looks very likely that Chris will win it again and he deserves it. Both individually and collectively we need to look at the situation and realise we've not been good enough and try to correct that. Tonight's victory is the first step in doing so."
Narborough_fox Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Gray appalled by season. Today Team Wales 'driver Matt Gray has come out and has said that he was appalled by the performance of his team this season. Also admitting his season was the experience possible and he had contemplated quitting Formula FoxesTalk. Gray did however say how he admired being team-mates with such an amazing driver and person, Ashley Jupp. At the end of season Press Confrence Gray was asked by a BBC reporter what his thoughts of the season were and he replied; "To be quite honest the season has been a nightmare, the team have been horrendous, the car has been horrendous and my performance's have been horrendous. I was really looking forward to the end of the season and I am so glad it has come I just want to leave the team and move on with a real point to prove which I can prove, I need to prove myself as I am still relativly new to Fomula FoxesTalk and if I am not careful I may slide done the rankings." "After the season I have had enjure there is one thing I will miss, my team-mate, Ashley was such a nice person to be with. I will miss such an experienced person and team-mate and I hope to be his team-mates again. I just hope I will never race for Team Wales again."
Asha Posted 28 October 2010 Author Posted 28 October 2010 Any thoughts on a new series folks (if we're doing one now) Personally I was thinking a Bat Seven series - and we could do the whole team captains thing again where you try and persuade any two drivers to join your team. Willing to have a go whatever though.
Asha Posted 28 October 2010 Author Posted 28 October 2010 I'd like team-mates that do their runs. If we were going to do a Bat Seven series again, we'd be probably looking for four team leaders (maybe five if there was enough demand - probably won't be) so you could pick two team-mates of your own that will actually do runs! When thinking about 'four team leaders' I initially thought about you, Chris, Matt M and myself.

Asha Posted 8 November 2010 Author Posted 8 November 2010 Not heard much of a response So maybe we should leave the main Foxestalk private games until the new year, else any new season will be marred by christmas absences et cetera In the meantime, anyone who does want an imminent season of Batracer might be interested in joining this game. which 'Hammster' off here has brought to my attention, and has quite a few people signed up to already. Bit of fun and an opportunity to compete with some new players maybe (Password is 'milkshake'.)
