Bert Posted 17 August 2010 Author Posted 17 August 2010 Actually it was the first time England had qualified for a World Cup for 20 years, having qualified as hosts in 1966 and automatically as holders in 1970. Think this could be the answer. Yup.

Guest Bilo Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Just to get this started again, name all the suffixes of English league clubs. Example: Leicester CITY
City_4_Life Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 United City Town Villa Wanderers Albion Athletic Edit: Just thought of more. Palace Vale Rangers Wedneday Forest (dont know how i missed this and county first time round) County North End Rovers
StanSP Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Argyle Athletic Borough (Stevenage) - Although I think they may have taken that off? Remember reading something but not sure if they carried it out... Orient Alexandra Wednesday Rovers Hotspur Stanley. I'm sure they all count
Guest Bilo Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Borough's been taken off mate. You're missing some as well. Kick yourself when you find out what they are an' all.
Guest Bilo Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Full list: City Town United Athletic Wanderers Rangers Wednesday Argyle Forest County Rovers Dons Alexandra Hotspur Stanley Orient Albion North End Technically you could have Bournemouth as well, as they are the only club with a prefix in the Football League (AFC Bournemouth) but that could be construed as cheating. 'Vale' doesn't count because Port Vale is the name of a place after which the club is named.
StanSP Posted 23 October 2010 Posted 23 October 2010 Ah Dons and North End I missed out! And Rangers <_<
