Joe. Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Comparisons with Kaebi are completely pointless. He's a different player, who knows how he will adapt? Some foreginers come over here and don't cut it, some do. Hossein Kaebi has absolutely no relevance to this transfer.
Wymsey Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 similar to signing a proven international so how many players have we signed a few months after appearing in the world cup, with 49 caps. the signings we are making are from pedigrees we haven't seen at the walkers for years. any player that comes to a club can be hit or miss, but this guy genuinely seems to be the real deal this is so far from kaebu it's untrue. Exactly. If he plays in the team regularly and performs well (lets all hope, the rest of the midfield will learn from his good performances and this can only improve the shaky midfield we have.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Paulo Sousa on new signing Yuki Abe... “He’s an international player who played very well at the World Cup and we are glad to have him. He’s a player with a good engine and can help us to improve our performance. I am happy to have such an important player playing for us." For more see... http://www.soarmagazine.co.uk/2010/08/31/sousa-on-new-signing-abe/ He's only gone and signed the wrong bloke - he's thinking of Honda!

Tilley Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I know it has already been said but as if this is a Sousa signing.

jerakin Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 be interesting to see how he gets on playing on a cold january with snow fallin this is so not a sousa signing but hope he does well It snows in Japan. Lots. the Japanese word for snow- yuki. But the" Yuki" in "Yuki Abe" translates closer to "brave.".
ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Abe is definately a good footballer, it just remains to see if he can cope with the rainy autumn days and low-style tackles and wrestling of the Championship. I am fairly positive he will cope just fine, and be a good acquisition for us. He's one of the more robust players for Japan, not a show pony, so hopefully he can manage the Championship. And as someone else said before, other players from that Japan squad ply their trade at high levels in different countries.
mitsuo Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Yes, Shinji Kagawa is borussia Dortmund best player. He's only 21 The young generation are more Cristiano ronaldo, messi like. smart, fast and very technical. People who believe that shunsuke Nakamura or Endo etc.... are the best are wrong The new generation push nakamura away from the starting line up. Guys like Jungo fujimoto, Takashi inui, mu kanazaki, Tomoaki Makino or Yosuke Kashiwagi will have a brilliant career. And they are all FK specialist
