Music Editting Software

[Trav Le Bleu]

Can anyone recommend some please? I do a bit of online DJing in connection to an MMO that I play and I'd quite like to mix/layer sounds and vocals to create jingles and effects.

Basically I need something that can:

• record voice samples via mic

• layer effects and sounds

• cut samples from MP3s I already own

If anyone knows a nice bit of software, freeware or commercial (but not too expensive), I'd appreciate. Ta.

Have you tried Audacity?? http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Audacity is the best I have found, and its free. I've never had any problems with it either.

Audacity will do all those things no problem.

I however use Adobe Audition because I find it easier to work with. Not free, but I hear tell of ways and means of getting software for nowt.....

I use Sony Soundforge. Love it
